The only problem with that is that assuming we can bounce back (not a given by any means) is that if he assembles another lightweight group of players to tackle the PL any new manager will be lumbered with them.
Well if we do bounce straight back then he's again earned the right. He wouldn't get as much leeway that season as this though.

Vk will stay, we will be fine next season when we go again. Don’t be so short sighted.

We are terrible at the moment though and it is very very tough as a fan.
I am still VK in for the start of next season, but I wouldn’t be too sure we’ll have the same success.

Those that got us promoted sure as hell won’t want to go again for another 46 games, the players that have done ok this season will be gone, and all we’ll be left with is a squad that morale and confidence wise will be battered. Some of these players should have been taken out of the firing line 5-10 games ago.

A lot of (unnecessary) damage has been done this season.

Does winning a championship title really mean that much to you?

Would anyone have even remotely cared if we won or came second? Both end up in the prem which is the whole point of the championship

No leaders on the field and no leaders off it at the moment - time for Alan to get a grip and salvage some pride in the season.

You mean until the strong meds have worn off.

Yeah over reaction from strolling to another defeat. Only 5-0 this time. Geez we should be upbeat and happy just to turn up.

What i see is that VK can spot a player ,or i see enough to suggest why he thought they may have something. The exception to this at the moment is Ramsey. Sometimes a player takes a season to show though, i hope that’s the case for him . Though the injury will hold him back .
gelling as a team i think is a fair challenge some of the basics and making the correct calls on the pitch. But we are a very young side and this sometimes happens .. chopping and changing suggests that what he thought he was getting , isnt actually what he ended up with.. i think we have players that are better than championship in most indices but not good enough for mid table prem.. berge may be the exception.. for me he gets the first 18-20 games in the championship next year.. then you make the call…

I think in general performances have improved as the season has gone on, today was woeful though. I think the signings in the January window were better and felt more targeted to areas we needed as opposed to just stock piling wide players.

Why is it sh1te to suggest back to back relegation when we have a team so poor and a manager so clueless and unable to even try to change a game when it's going wrong?

If we finish this season below Luton and Sheffield United (now looking increasingly likely), VK’s claim that his team and the club are moving in the right direction lies in tatters.

There's not a chance this side gets relegated twice in 2 seasons - 1000/1
The gulf in class between Arsenal and us is huge - we've beaten the 2 teams that came up with us this season

Burnley will destroy 90% of them teams in the championship

Nobody on earth would keep us up because of the total disaster authored by Kompany. Rather than build on a good platform by strengthening in key positions he decided on a demolition job, on top of which he brought in dross and a boy keeper. I really don’t want him here next season because his project stinks

Which Burnley, though?

Half of this lot will be off to European teams in the summer, a couple of loans back to their parent clubs and the bulk of the 2022/23 Championship winning team won’t be as bothered after being cast aside for shiny new toys so soon after promotion.

We’ll have another rebuild on our hands.

I don’t understand it. Some people say the players aren’t good enough and want them out. Others say it’s the manager and want him out. From what I’ve seen it’s both to a degree, so where does that leave us?
If it’s a full rebuild from the bottom up in the championship next season then it really has been a shitshow.

An interesting question but i don't think any manager in world football would keep us up so that's irrelevant. I think we could get more from the group though. I'd be looking for the Dyche to our Howe, we've brought in some good young quality, time for some steel.

If we could tempt him away and assuming they don't go up McKenna maybe? You'd think the board would have some good candidates lined up, they did well with VK initially so you'd like to hope.

The reason to replace him now, is NOT to avoid relegation, it's to let a new manager get his feet under the table and be ready for next season in the Championship, which is now totally inevitable.

Today was appalling and the fact that only half the crowd stayed until the end, said it all. Surely Alan Pace has had enough by now. I know most fans have

I for one would like VK to be with us next year, didn’t expect anything else what’s happening this season! He a had to put together new players and that doesn’t happen over night.
I’m sure these players we have will get better in time, they are just not up to the standard for the premier yet.
Sadly a lot of posters on here don’t know the difference between the championship and the premier league thinking we could take the league by storm after doing well in the championship. There’s a big gap as we are finding out.

He was God at full time at Ewood, now people are wanting him out.

It's been far from good, but the jump in quality is huge and with basically a new side, all young all foreign, its a huge adjustment learning on the job, and that goes for noth the players and the manager.

Let's be honest we are Down, have been since December, however we cannot afford for it to turn toxic snd have a hangover for next season.

Problem there is not many managers are available at this time of the season who you might actually want. Or even if they have no club, they may be reluctant to take it. A new manager also has to be comfortable playing lots of youngish players, there aren’t many out there who are.

A manager who got over a 100 points a year ago in that league, who walked that league... Who would you suggest could do better?
We had a few leaders on the pitch last season, such as THB ,Cork,Barnes,Tella was the smiling assassin.we have no cohesion or the fight in the team, how is VK going to fix it next season if he can’t do it now?

He’s still a relatively new manager to us. This is only his second season and we’ve signed a ridiculous amount of players. The saving grace here is that it takes time for them to become a unit sometimes. I’m hoping this is the case. But VK needs to swallow his pride and drop the arrogance in moments such as these.

The elite mindset that he continues to have from his playing days is something he should never drop, but realism and when and where to use it needs to be realised .

Interestingly TurfCast (most popular Burnley fan twitter account there is) have done a poll of VK in or out, currently it’s at 69% IN.

We didnt know how we would rebound last time, but we did - comfortably
I'd say this squad can be just as good back in that league - with consistant wins and good form
Far better than 20 other sides in that league

259 votes is such a huge sample size.
