Hi, moved the pc for a week whilst re-decorating. Put it all back together and no internet.
Moved the pc next to the modem and put an ethernet cable into the back, still no internet.
Went to settings and ran the troubleshooter, it finished with the message below.
As ethernet is one of them that explains my problem there.
Any advice taken on how to reset the two failures gratefully taken.

Have you tried rebooting the router, then reconnect

You could try Googling 'Ethernet doesn't have a valid IP configuration'.
Or contact your service provider.

Cheers for that, Hipper. Don't know why I didn't go there myself, I'm always telling folk to google problems.
The restart fixed it and I'm sending this from PC.
