Re: Burnley vs Palace Match thread
The worst part of this is the fact it’s only February. It’s been shite going on since about October and we have to suffer many months more of this out of duty. Not enjoyed even a second of this season, I’d go as far to say that it’s been my worst season as a Burnley fan and I started watching us in the fourth division. The team has nothing to hold on to, a lot of them I’m not sure give a second thought about Burnley after they finish a game.

When VAR continually get it wrong, you know you are not wanted.
A great shame but this wholesale buying of young players with ponds behind their ears and then thinking you can take the same 10 games to get ci-herent movement, in the Prem, was always ludicrous.
Chairman obviously has no clue and the manager persuaded him that he could do miracles with young players.
Both should hang their heads and say sorry.

Re: Burnley vs Palace Match thread
The most crucial game of the season and not a single positive to come out of it
Re: Burnley vs Palace Match thread
I just don't know why he's not tried something new... What he's doing hasn't worked for half the season.PremierLeagueClass wrote: ↑Sat Feb 24, 2024 5:08 pmThis is also where I’m at now. Very strange strategy in the summer that has completely backfired. However, I’d be inclined to stick with him next season and give him the chance to prove he’s learnt from his mistakes this season. I suspect I am in the minority with that now though and the toxicity levels from a growing number of fans may be too much to come back from at this point.

I was the game and the fans (again) have been remarkably supportive and loud in the circumstances. However to suggest you can’t criticise Trafford and others on a football message board because they are 21 is just silly. I blame VK but to say that what is being displayed on the field by some individualsis anything other than unacceptable is wilfully ignoring reality.Darthlaw wrote: ↑Sat Feb 24, 2024 4:26 pmCertainly this message board problem, less so a club thing.
The 3-4 who abuse Trafford has grown into a solid 10+ on the matchday threads. Then again its all to easy to spoud diatribe behind a keyboard, when if you did the same in the stadium someone is likely to tell you to shut the F up...

Wanted to know if kompany came over and held his hands up and is taking some kind of responsibility instead of saying ‘the premier league isn’t meant to be easy’ or ‘it’s all about mentality and belief and desire’cockneyclaret wrote: ↑Sat Feb 24, 2024 5:24 pmI'm surprised anyone bothered staying the additional 12 mins.. let alone after the 3rd went in

Re: Burnley vs Palace Match thread
Kompany walked over with one hand up and the other hand on his heart. Looked like an apology and he stood there for probably 30 seconds or so. It was fairly muted in the stands as most had left.

I've heard much worse shouted at him in the stadium and people around laughing, I've seen people kicking seats there that annoyed at home yet NOBODY telling them to shut up. Majority see how poor he is, where do you sit? Your front room?Darthlaw wrote: ↑Sat Feb 24, 2024 4:26 pmCertainly this message board problem, less so a club thing.

Re: Burnley vs Palace Match thread
I said last season my biggest concern in the Premier League was VK not having a plan B. I had several coming back saying about he has five or six he rotates between in a single game.
Perhaps now folk will wake up to what a brilliant job Dyche did for us and realise how tough it is to manage a club in the Premier League.

Re: Burnley vs Palace Match thread
I've said this before on other thread's, but even if we stick and he brings us back up, what's the point to bring us back to this, cos right now I feel he's learnt/learning the square root of absolutely chuff all. And as each week passes by I'm inclined to think he's totally lost it.PremierLeagueClass wrote: ↑Sat Feb 24, 2024 5:08 pmThis is also where I’m at now. Criticism and abuse are two very different things.RHansburyEsq wrote: ↑Sat Feb 24, 2024 5:18 pmI was the game and the fans (again) have been remarkably supportive and loud in the circumstances. would you consider the following to be 'criticism'?
'How many times will we persist with this muppet in goal'
'Why was no player in Trafford's face calling him a useless ****'
'Trafford is a joke'
'Well done Trafford you effing idiot'
'IDIOT TRAFFORD'
'**** off Trafford'
'Trafford is horrendous'
'Get Trafford out this club he’s constantly costing us.'
'Wish Trafford would be the one getting sent off. He's absymal.'

Re: Burnley vs Palace Match thread
Trafford is a joke and Trafford is horrendous isn’t abuse, it’s fans giving their opinion on what they think about his performancesDarthlaw wrote: ↑Sat Feb 24, 2024 5:49 pmCriticism and abuse are two very different things.

Sure... Very constructive.
Re: Burnley vs Palace Match thread
Imagine all we’ll get is that the sending off cost us the game,an easy get out ,

Fair enough I misunderstood your point. Some of those you quote are unnecessary and go beyond criticism (but stand by my point that they do deserve the criticism!)Darthlaw wrote: ↑Sat Feb 24, 2024 5:49 pmCriticism and abuse are two very different things.
