Rovers fans galore…
I’d have thought they’d have bigger things to worry about to be honest. Like the **** state of their team

Re: CARRY ON CRUMBLING.
there have been years of conflicting reports about Bahrain's Royal Family's interest in buying into football - there have been acquisitions of stakes for minor clubs in Spain (Cordoba) and France (Paris FC), but nothing hugely significant
much is being made of attendance of members of the family at Manchester City v Chelsea last week and there have been rumours of their long standing interest in and love for Liverpool for years
of all the big clubs left ripe for transformation, Sheffield Wednesday is the most obvious and possibly most outstanding example
Wigan's short spell under a Bahrain consortium (not the royal family) was far from successful

Vincent will Carry on regardless.
Re: CARRY ON CRUMBLING.
Interestingly I was listening to a radio interview with Christian Purslow today, ex CEO of Villa and Chelsea and who brokered sale of Liverpool to current owners.
He was talking about FFP and how it is now outdated when teams like Newcastle are clearly financially solvent. He did say though that with the exception of Man United, it is not sustainable to borrow money to fund the buying of football clubs and to put the debt onto the club.

Re: CARRY ON CRUMBLING.
I’m thinking of starting a thread that doesn’t involve moaning about Trafford/VK/ALK/Relegation. Any takers? Also any odds offered on no matter what the subject matter Trafford/VK/ALK/Relegation will still manage to get a mention?
Incidentally if we are ‘the laughing stock of the PL’ what are Sheffield United? At least we don’t ship five on an almost weekly basis and manage to concede eight at home. Just a happpy clapper thought (I thought I’d get that in first).

Why don’t we just sit in the reality that we are one of the worst sides in premier league history and VK will achieve our lowest points score in a 3 point season?houseboy wrote: ↑Mon Feb 26, 2024 1:25 pmI’m thinking of starting a thread that doesn’t involve moaning about Trafford/VK/ALK/Relegation. You don’t have to be a happy clapper or negative Nelly to appreciate this has been an embarrassingly bad season

Do you never bored yourself or do you enjoy saying the same things over and over ?
Be grateful it costs you nothing to watch us, you don't have to give up any of your precious time (I say precious with the amount of time on here whining you can't have a lot left to spare) and you make no effort.
It's like the needle is stuck on an LP, surely even you must think I have said this 875 times this season already

Nope just can’t understand posters that are mad at posters for being disgruntled at this season.claretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 26, 2024 1:47 pmDo you never bored yourself or do you enjoy saying the same things over and over ?

I’ve been plenty of times this season, probably won’t go back again this season, not even remotely enjoyable to watch.

Don’t you think though that we should leave VK in charge?Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 26, 2024 1:42 pmWhy don’t we just sit in the reality that we are one of the worst sides in premier league history and VK will achieve our lowest points score in a 3 point season?

A. It’s a bit too late to turn things around and think of the compensation we’d have to pay him.
B. He has an amazing record in the Championship (better than Dyche when we kept him after relegation).
C. A club like ours are just a yo-yo club anyway these days.
And if we play so badly think back to the shite that Dyche was serving up when in the PL. Yes it kept us up but how many on here were complaining about what we were watching? The PL is for the playthings of billionaires. We can’t, under the current money obsessed situation, compete. Go up, get some money, come back down and watch some enjoyable stuff.
Isn’t that a good thing? We’d all like to be up there but even under Dyche it was only enjoyable for about two seasons, otherwise it was just a slog.
Hang on…I’m getting too serious…sorry.

Even Ashley Westwood said it was mentally draining being in a constant battle against relegation
