Still in with a big chance of survival, Forest are only 4 points in front and Luton have a game in hand. They play each other in a few weeks too.
If forest got only 2 points deducted it could be costly
Have you noticed Luton’s recent form bud? I think their brief spell in the sunshine is done for now. Even us and Sheff Utd have beaten them. And recent form is poor.

But their overall form has given them a fighting chance. We got lucky away to beat them, they dominated us at home.
A slight turn in form and pick a few wins up they could survive. We win a couple and we're still points away from safety massive difference.
Which position would u rather be in right now?

They also got an injury time ‘equaliser’ at our place via a bad VAR decision. If we had the four points we have been robbed of by VAR (Forest as well) our position wouldn’t look nearly so bad. I think Luton are doing great to be honest but their current form isn’t suggesting anything other than a fate similar to ours as it stands.

We should definitely be a lot closer without awful VAR decisions. Thats before you throw injuries (accept all teams have these) and a confidence-damaging early run of fixtures in to the mix.

Re: Luton, the City game really could’ve been double figures. Thats no disrespect to Luton, they’ve done brilliantly this year but if our defence were sliced open like theirs was several times, this board would be destroying our back line, saying their all not good enough, etc.

I would not have wanted him in summer given his period of absence and off-field reputation, but Luton did bag a gem Barkley. I think we’d have stayed up with him partnering Berge.

why give them a point's deduction in the first place it's a joke and to me shows how corrupt the league is.

Not sure what you mean. They’ve still got a not insignificant points deduction which may still have some impact come the end of the season, especially if it’s then repeated for the second charge. Forest will also be sweating a little bit now.

Do you mean the one that was yet another mistake by our goalkeeper?
Luton deserved all 3 points at the Turf not just 1 so we shouldn't feel hard done too

Luton may have deserved all three points but then we have had games like that too. We deserved three points at Forest and against Bournemouth. We deserved at least a point against United and possibly something at Liverpool.

Looks like Leicester will breach FFP when they come back up next season.

Whilst they did play well against us and certainly dominated the ball (not sure how much of that was deliberate from our part) they didn’t really create anything of note other than the goal we had the best chances to score throughout the game. If Luton dominated us then by the same token we must have dominated Palace, West Ham and Bournemouth and they were all lucky.

You think our tactical plan was to allow LUTON possession at home? Come on that's clutching at straws, yes we had possession against Palace, West Ham and Bournemouth but just like Luton couldn't win it. We didn't deserve to lose those games but Luton did something we didn't and that's pick up a point

I said I don’t know how much was deliberate i didn’t say it was our tactical plan clearly I have no idea whether it was or wasn’t.

Yes I wasn’t questioning Luton they have been a breath of fresh air and managed to get a point when we would not have if the shoe was on the other foot. I do think they have planned for the here and now where as we have planned for 1/2 years down the line not sure which will work out to be the correct path in the long run though.

We've planned to make money, that's the main objective buy young and sell for a maximum, unfortunately the signings this season have failed so we're going to struggle making much profit.
We need to pick and choose who we sell wisely in the summer if we have ambitions of coming back up next season

Fair enough but the goal Luton scored was a foul on the goalkeeper. Reminded me of a goal scored in an FA Cup Final against Man Utd; but that was back in 1958.

Blimey, Silky.......That's some recollection from the old memory bank......Just a mere 66 years ago !!

It was Bolton's second goal in the 2-0 win and a "standard" Nat Lofthouse challenge on Harry Gregg, United's keeper.

What about the one Gray scored against Watford in the FA Cup from a Trevor Steven cross?

It wasn't given and as we've seen since they now aren't being given which is correct because keepers are too protected

Classic UTC thread...

A discussion about Everton and others FFP points deduction somehow ends up with erm, yup you guessed it Bumba still banging on about Lutons equaliser being a perfectly good goal.

What a guy, literally anthing he can pick up to beat the club with.

Just boring, tiresome stuff.
