That seems an awful lot of words to say playing Muric is more important than winning
Playing Trafford seems to be more important than winning to Kompany

We have to make up 9 points on Forest in 11 games then beat them at home on the final day to stay up.

And that’s without considering any penalty Forest may face

You assume they will pick at least an odd point up from us, Luton, Everton or Sheffield United who they still have left to play.

That may well be some peoples opinion of Kompany.

The question asked though is what is more important for you, not Kompany and some have stated that picking certain players is more important than winning.

Are we seriously still clutching at straws that we may have a chance of staying up? Just looking at the beat arsed faces of our players in the last two games should tell you that we have got absolutely no chance.

Result - not sure I can cope with the meltdown during/after the match if we don’t win.

Then,

Announce season ticket renewals.
A glimpse of next seasons kit.
The retained list.

Result. We are going down but for confidence going forward, a few results from now until end of the season would surely help on and off the pitch.

Weird that anyone would find the team selection more important than the performance or result. Surely the important thing is fielding a team that will compete and get results.

If we started with Muric and Benson for example and then put in our worst performance of the season and got our heaviest defeat how would this be a positive?
Playing the same team has been disastrous so personally I want to see how Muric ..Benson would get on .. what’s the point of a result if we get lucky .. we aren’t learning anything

Team sheet - see if Vincent finally swallows his pride

Performance - no more cowardly displays

Result - doesn’t matter, we’re already down
Totally agree with all this. Result is irrelevant now and will only likely come if the other two have happened anyway...unless we somehow fluke it.

I'm aware that saying we're not mathematically relegated yet says a lot about this season in itself, but for as long as we aren't actually down it's the result, then the result after that, then finally the result.

If that comes as a result of a last-minute comedy own-goal after the usual suspects have delivered another 90-minute no-show then so be it.

You misread my post, I didn’t say we needed 9 points I said that’s how many we need to make up on them.

I understand why the result is important, but if it's the same team, playing the same way and we fluke a result, does that change anything?
Yes, it gives us three points.

It might also spark a bit of belief in the players to get three points in the next match. Which then sparks a bit more belief.

See where I'm going with this?

Performance. EPL is a high standard so can never guarantee a result. The performances have been unacceptable and that needs remedying because from a number of the players - Odobert, Tresor and Amdouni it has been about effort. Being lazy will not earn success in the Championship next season. The performance needs improving from a style point of view - we are playing **** football with skilful players. To get a performance, he is going to have to correct poor selections.

Yes, but it’s not going to happen is it.

I don’t think we’ll get another 9 points all season let alone what else they get on top of that.

Performance for me because that within itself will encourage good results it's unlikely that the result will come about off the back of a poor performance unless the other team are equally as bad & don't show up.

Result for me. We need something to put some belief into the team.
Performance… we need players feeling they have every right to be playing at this level.
Line up - I don’t care who plays as long as they get on the pitch and are ready to fight their demons.

I’ll be sitting in the sun (hopefully) on the poolside or strolling casually along a beach. At about 6pm local time I’ll have a look at the result. Hopefully my day will end pleasantly.

Once they are dead rubbers the results kind of become irrelevant. We need to be looking forward to next season. I want to see VK changing players that aren’t performing and proving that he won’t keep persisting with something that clearly isn’t working. I don’t want to see another limp performance either.

Which of these is more important to you on Sunday?

- Team Sheet, (Benson, Muric, Cork et al)

- Performance, (grit, fight, determination, formation etc)

- Result, (getting points).
Result obviously.

Team sheet

Doesn't matter who's playing if we get the first two. Don't see how any fan would say anything different.

Common sense team selection starting with the keeper
THe players playing as if they care
More purpose when on the front foot, and not passing it back to the GK
3 points

I’d just like to see some football that gets me off my seat, not the CBs passing it between each other or going right back to the keeper every time we get in a half decent position.

Most home games this season have had fans getting off their seats, just after the away team gets their 3rd :D

I must be reading this wrong but some replies are reading like "I don't care if we lose so long as my favourite payers play"
I can understand why they may read like that, however, I'd say it's less favourite players playing, and more not playing players that don't appear to be up to the job, especially when we haven't seen those that got us there in the first place.

We already expect to lose, which makes the drive up all the more difficult. Seeing players we still have some connection to, who we haven't fallen out of love with even if VK has, will give a lift to the ground and potentially help create a better atmosphere for the game. We all want a result, but when that doesn't seem to be an option, I'll take it not going toxic, which we are very much under threat of.
