The thing is nobody knows how many loyal, long standing Arsenal and Tottenham fans have given up attending in the last few years because they've become "disconnected", frozen out and eventually priced out. Those clubs couldn't give a toss because there's always loads of far more well heeled "fans" filling those seats. The trouble is that they're aren't really fans like "your dad" used to be. They can take or leave it and if ever those clubs are unsuccessful, they'll be gone in a flash. And we have to remember we aren't Arsenal, Tottenham or whoever. When we freeze fans out there's hardly going to be a huge queue of "nouveau fans" to fill those empty seats.RickyBobby wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 1:33 pmThe club seem to think we are like Tottenham and Arsenal and that they can charge what they want.
They really are out of touch with the town and club.
Scrapping the early bird and raising prices by the amounts mentioned would lead to thousands not renewing and meaning they would generate less overall ticket revenue not more.
We are going to be a championship club next season in a small northern town. They aren’t going to be able to fill the seats with far eastern tourists! They seem completely deluded.
I am expecting gates of around 10,000 next season even if we are doing OK if all of these is true.
Keep prices low and there could be closer to 20,000 on with a much better atmosphere.
For ‘business’ men they really seem to have no actual business acumen. They do not understand the product they sell and who their customers are at all. This is a small football club not a gigantic galactic conglomerate like Amazon who can do as they wish.

Yep - and they're realistically never going to get relegated and teams in big cities in the PL will never be shy of day trippers or just PL fanatics getting seats/season tickets.Dark Cloud wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 3:01 pmThe thing is nobody knows how many loyal, long standing Arsenal and Tottenham fans have given up attending in the last few years because they've become "disconnected", frozen out and eventually priced out. Drastically different circumstances for BFC.

All this stuff you mention is just made up crap, with no foundation, nobody has said they are scrapping the early bird prices, or raising prices, stop reading unfounded rumours and stating them as facts. Please do come back and apologise when everything you've stated turns out to be false, although I doubt you'd have the balls to do so.

How do you know it’s false? Do you have the balls to apologise if it turns out the other way?

Maybe by not announcing its having the desired effect, like backwards marketing of some sort.ŽižkovClaret wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 3:45 pmNot announcing details is in itself an announcement of sorts. Its natural that people will speculate.
Putting prices up and getting relegated is a hard sell. Maybe their hoping for a miracle ( or maybe just for VK to play Muric)

Has it been announced that the early bird is no more?

Re: Season tickets next season
Ok, I'll go through it one more time, you appear to be struggling
Have the club announced next year's prices.. Yes or no
Have the club stated that they'll be no early bird... Yes or no
If the answered is no, then my post was correct, any other comment in relation to that are irrelevant, I've no idea what they are going to do, but please don't say iam wrong at this stage in what I said

Re: Season tickets next season
I do accept it's possible we're getting somewhat het up on here rather prematurely without actually knowing the facts regarding pricing etc, but let's be honest, history tells us that "early bird" pricing is regularly out there by now and this year it's not, which seems a bit odd. Plus how early is "early bird"? You can't call it early bird in July I don't feel (or can you?)
Re: Season tickets next season
I guess if its a time current season ticket holders can get it for less than new ones it doesn't really matter when it is, does it?Dark Cloud wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 4:59 pmI do accept it's possible we're getting somewhat het up on here rather prematurely without actually knowing the facts regarding pricing etc, but let's be honest, history tells us that "early bird" pricing is regularly out there by now and this year it's not, which seems a bit odd. They've already said that they'll release details of early bird prices, but some on here would prefer to ignore that fact and continue making stuff up

Re: Season tickets next season
They can call it "early bird" if they discount period runs up to two days beofre kick-off. and even if by some law they can't call it "early bird", they can call it "advance purchase discount period" or something equally catchy.Dark Cloud wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 4:59 pmI do accept it's possible we're getting somewhat het up on here rather prematurely without actually knowing the facts regarding pricing etc, but let's be honest, history tells us that "early bird" pricing is regularly out there by now and this year it's not, which seems a bit odd. It's relatively recent that they have sold season tickets at all before the end of the season. It used to be June before the discount purchase period started and perhaps late July before prices went up.

As our Rep with the club what is Tony saying about the situation with season tickets or indeed any other reps we have on this Forum? What is his take on the lack of information for fans who have to budget and plan. I had a look back at the pages but couldn't find anything?

There's a fan board that have meetings. You might be able to contact one of them on twitter if you search their names?
