Freebies ? To compensate ?
Re: Season tickets next season
Direct Debits ... started in April so last one is March for this season
Re: Season tickets next season
Must be holding off on announcing the inevitable price rise. They must be expecting some grief.

Hoping they freeze the prices and sort out the catering side in terms of pricing too ....
Re: Season tickets next season
I put in the other thread, I emailed the ticket office about season tickets a couple of weeks ago and they replied saying they still hadn’t had the price confirmed but were expecting late Feb early March to be announced.
I remain convinced they were / are hopeful of a win or two to boost hope and sales before announcing the cost…. Could be a loooonnnnngggg wait.

I think the majority of us will renew, what else are you going to do on a Saturday?

Also I need the Direct Debit to get my interest in my Santander 123 account ... which more than covers the cost of the season ticket.

I just know we'll renew but at this very moment in time
I can't generate any enthusiasm for this or next season.
Never felt like this before, maybe it's an age thing.

Exactly, chatting to my Blackpool supporting father in law who isn't enjoying going on either at the minute. He will renew though, as it's something that gives him an excuse to meet up with mates on a weekend and have a few pints.Burnley1989 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 29, 2024 8:02 pmI think the majority of us will renew, what else are you going to do on a Saturday?

Re: Season tickets next season
I heard that it could be due to possible ground renovations - there were plans that got put on hold because we got promoted and they didn't want to miss out on ticket sales - so with us likely being in the championship with lower crowds wouldn't be surprised if we took the opportunity to do some work and they are seeing how they can move people before releasing the details

Re: Season tickets next season
Seriously considering not renewing
The excellent work VK did the season before has been eradicated by some unknown belief that he could move to another higher level by buying inexperienced young guys who knew nothing about the Premier League
And even when it was clear this plan was not working he failed to make changes with the experience that he still had within the club
And I don't believe he will recognise/change these mistakes and the starting eleven next year will remain as with this season
Muric will be gone as will Taylor, Cork, Brownhill, Zaroury, Benson, Redmond, Roberts
Loanees will go
Foster, Koleosho, Berge and Odobert may be sold if we can make a profit on them
I doubt the remaining squad will be strong (and even experienced enough) to compete in the Championship next season
Not sure I want to see another episode of poor performances as we have witnessed this season

I expect us to get 2 or 3 loanees from both City and Chelsea, combined with a few signings and letting a few go. Last season happened, not sure why people are automatically thinking because of this season that next season will be a bad one

Prices should be reduced how else can we pay for the therapy needed to get us through this shambolic season?

Re: Season tickets next season
If we clear out about 16 players and take in about £50m transfer fees, which is what you're suggesting, then I suspect there will be flexibility to sign a few more. Even with your scenario we will still have Trafford in nets and Beyer, Ekdal, Al Dakhill, O'shea providing a very strong centre half group, Cullen in midfield who we know is excellent at that level, and others such as Amdoui and Brunn Larsen who may well be much better suited to Championship than PL.jojomk1 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 29, 2024 10:09 pmSeriously considering not renewing

I think Redmond and Koleosho will struggle to find clubs willing to pay what Burnley will accept. Not after the greater part of the season out injured.

Re: Season tickets next season
Appreciate it’s been a pants season, but those who only bought season tickets ‘cos we’re in the Prem would always disappear under a stone when (if) we were back in the Championship……watching plenty of garbage footy has been a big part of my season ticket journey over the years!
I await with baited breath the dull thud of my renewal pack landing in the post at which point I’ll tell my other half, as I always do, that the price hasn’t gone up.

I think people need to ask themselves if they're Burnley fans or just fans of Premier league football. I'd watch us if we dropped to playing up Towneley, maybe complain on the way but I'd still watch us and be a proud Claret

To be fair plenty are assuming that because last season was good, next season will be too!Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Thu Feb 29, 2024 10:16 pmI expect us to get 2 or 3 loanees from both City and Chelsea, combined with a few signings and letting a few go. I'm in the disillusioned camp but nowhere near enough to not renew FWIW, can't see it being anywhere near this bad in the Championship.
Re: Season tickets next season
I'd like us to avoid using too many loans if we can. Look what happened last summer losing 2 or 3 key men and struggling to replace them. Forest had the same issue when they first came up.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Thu Feb 29, 2024 10:16 pmI expect us to get 2 or 3 loanees from both City and Chelsea, combined with a few signings and letting a few go. This. I’ve complained so much about this season but I will still get a season ticket year on year whilst financially able/healthy. Just hope VAR doesn’t make its way to the lower divisions.Claret Till I Die wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 7:00 amI think people need to ask themselves if they're Burnley fans or just fans of Premier league football. I think most people will renew. Once the season finishes and the calm setts in during June/July many will be itching to get their Saturday fix.

Re: Season tickets next season
Certainly the waiting list will be gone for next season.
I can see a small amount of churn but aside the club doing something mental like adding 10%+ to the pricing most folk will be back to see if VK can repeat his championship magic.

Re: Season tickets next season
Problem is there will be a lot of Tuesday fixes and a lot of fans live a distance away. Add to that the things we do now on Saturdays when matches are Sundays in the PL.
So I’m not convinced now the novelty of the EFL has gone and the novelty of VK has gone that there will be the same demand.
I think they have to be very careful on pricing, fans cannot be taken for granted, and the “hard core” are needed to give the atmosphere and momentum, especially away but also at home.
Re: Season tickets next season
Midweek fixtures are a pain, especially for those with youngsters, but Sunday games are a pain for many who also play, or travel by public transport, there's no ideal fixtures in either league.CrosspoolClarets wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 8:58 amProblem is there will be a lot of Tuesday fixes and a lot of fans live a distance away. Last year's price rise was 8%, so any rise needs to be below that to make it sensible

Funny/embarrassing to see people slag others off for only wanting a season ticket in the Premier League as if we didn't set a record last season.

It really wouldn’t surprise me if they’d been waiting for a win.
I think they’ll have to announce it early next week regardless.

I get a feeling you get many feelings about things which are way off the mark? I think you are wrong, however the easy way to “out” these noisy ones then is to ask them which stand, row and seat they sit in.claretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 9:37 amAnd the club will be better off without people like that at games.

Post becoming stupid ,if you’re not a Clarets fan but want to watch other Premier League stars you’ll probably get called a plastic fan,it’s up to you and you shouldn’t be criticised,it’s not as though “True” Burnley fans are unable to get tickets ,and if you like watching us get beat every game then it’s all so up to you ,why the big deal about who buys a season ticket and who doesn’t ,it ain’t a badge of honour.
