Such a shame we have blown.our survival chances as today's results are good for the bottom 3.

The Toffees certainly aren’t safe yet, as 1 of the 3 lowest scoring teams in the PL along with Sheffield United and Burnley they could find themselves in trouble.CrosspoolClarets wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2024 4:53 pmEverton blown a lead at home to West Ham just like we did.
They aren’t safe yet. Luton have some good games at home left.

Re: Today's Football
Marinakis on the pitch at Forest apparently remonstrating with the referee.
Re: Today's Football
Southampton get a last gasp winner
Imagine us in the championship with Leeds, Leicester and Everton. Not against the realms of possibility

Yet to win a game under Eustace which is worrying for them to say the least.

If Villa win then it's setup for us again tomorrow, we should have no hope what-so-ever but the carrot keeps getting dangled, we just don't have the ability or determination to grab it.
That table looks a lot different with points deductions for Everton and Forest.

What a terrible day if you’re a Rovers fan.
Other than Birmingham losing all of the other results went against them today. Other clubs seem to be fighting but Rovers are sleepwalking to League One at this rate.

Next two games are Millwall and Plymouth at home, win them and they are out of it, lose both and they have to be favourites for the drop. A big week for the 22,000 (sorry 11,000) at Ewood.Claretforever wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2024 5:17 pmWhat a terrible day if you’re a Rovers fan.

Re: Today's Football
Dyche must be under real pressure at Everton, not won in 10 PL games, that £30m centre forward looks an absolute dud too. £14m young striker on the bench hasn’t had a sniff either.

Luton huffing and puffing but when Villa pass through them they look, in truth, worse than us at that one aspect.
Appreciate our problem has usually been dealing with chaos in the box from crosses rather than runs through the middle. I see Luton though as way inferior to Forest and Everton, even though they have both been terrible.

They’ll probably beat Plymouth, who are a bit hit n miss, but Millwall under Neil Harris are a bit of a different animal, 100% since he re - took on the job.

They’re not happy at all. 10 without a win.
Main complaints seem to be:
- lacking effort
- playing the wrong players
- no plan b
- players all awful
Sound familiar?
If they sack him they’ll be in much bigger trouble.

Re: Today's Football
or Forest
Look at the results today
Leicester conceded 2 at home to QPR
Leeds couldn't win at 10 man Huddersfield
Saints conceded 3 at Birmingham
Is it that these teams aren't that good or have the rest of the championship got better ?
Re: Today's Football
That Beto is just a big lump - absolutely no skill, and cant shoot or trap a ball

Apparently, quite a few of their fans saw Szmodics and Eustace telling each other to "f**k off" after the game.
Brilliant

I'm not expecting us to get out of it but this is an opportunity to put ourselves back in the same area as Luton, Everton and Forest assuming they get points deductions. Bournemouth at home is as favourable a game as there is at the moment but so were Luton and Fulham.

Re: Today's Football
we lost 2-1 at an awful Bournemouth team earlier in the season. They are massively improved and we are the opposite. They create a decent amount of chances but haven't been taking them, hopefully Solanke will be out. Even though I try to always find the positives I have zero belief in this side sadly, I hope I'm wrong though !Goody1975 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2024 6:16 pmI'm not expecting us to get out of it but this is an opportunity to put ourselves back in the same area as Luton, Everton and Forest assuming they get points deductions. Luton starting to get a few injuries and the luck they had earlier seems to have deserted them Still battling but you need the breaks

Re: Today's Football
Their run in looks really tough as well. If they don’t get at least 4 points from their next two, which as you say are both at home, then they need to be very worried. A big couple of weeks for them.

We did and if we have any chance, no matter how slim to get out of the gigantic hole, then it has to start tomorrow.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2024 6:31 pmwe lost 2-1 at an awful Bournemouth team earlier in the season. We just want to see the players putting a minimum of 100% effort tomorrow and have a real go. Obviously this has to be in conjunction with defending like a professional team not under 16's.
A shot on target would be excellent as well!!

R*vers have a really tough run-in, culminating in a daunting trip to Leicester for the last game.
Hopefully, Leicester will still need something from that match and not be promoted and their players OTB.

Re: Today's Football
Great header from him.
Everton fans expect more though and seem to have taken a dislike to him. A lot complaining about the €25m fee.
I’d definitely rather have Foster (when fit).
