Yes. That was after Beast messed up and then feigned injury. Almost comedy gold (until I witnessed this current season!!)

I'm thinking he tried to carry on, but "succumbed" and went off allowing Penny to make his (only?) appearance. We promptly lost!

No. Penny had started the previous season in the defeat at Sheffield Wednesday.Dark Cloud wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2024 9:01 pmI'm thinking he tried to carry on, but "succumbed" and went off allowing Penny to make his (only?) appearance. We promptly lost!

Rodallega goal 11
Beast replaced by Penny 15
11 v 11 great website for all that sort of stuff if interested
PS Penny definitely started away at Wednesday in the promotion season (L 4-1) as did the infamous Remco Van Der Schaf - I still bear the scars of agreeing to sit in the home end at Hillsborough with an Owl mate - it was opening day I think

I went ti that and thought Van Der Schaaf was one of our better players on the day with Paterson.Selby Claret wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2024 10:09 pmRodallega goal 11

Ive still never heard what happened with Van der Schaaf, not even a mental rumour about him threatening Coyle with the Dutch mafia if he didnt play him
Re: "BEAST" On 5 live now
I never understand why people slag off the beast for the injury he had against Wigan. He cocked up but he also fell down terribly for a big guy. He looked injured
Far easier to look at the time he speared wolves

Re: "BEAST" On 5 live now
Nobody is slagging him off?? It's more a humorous anecdote about a keeper coming haring out of his goal, dropping a bollock and then going off injured even though most thought he was faking to hide his embarrassment.
Re: "BEAST" On 5 live now
On this season would you take him over Trafford ?

Do you mean to play in goal ?
If anyone says yes to this then at least others know their opinions on anything football can be ignored
