We didn't really trouble them, all our huffing and puffing led to the square root of sod all.

We played better than of late in the first half. Odobert, Fofana, Brun Larsen and Vitinho all had very presentable chances to score. Unfortunately we conceded the obligatory soft goal.

Second half was flat and our decision making in the final third let us down. As the game wore on you could see them losing belief.

We’re a side very low on confidence now and it’s highly unlikely that will change for what remains this season.

Agree entirely with this.

Burnley scoring 3 goals? When was that then.

Vinnies tactics were spot on, oh really.

O’Shea had good game yes.

I have to disagree on that one.

Sadly Burnley are going down.

Pace will either stick with Kompany hoping we bounce back straight away or give him the gooner and look for someone else.
Think he was being sarcastic.

Not unlucky at all, pitiful against a very poor Bournemouth side. The one shot I remember was like a pass to their goalie, though we were unlucky with Larsson's free kick almost crossing the line. Shame to see berge having to play centre half again when he's so much better helping the attack.

Going down with a whimper sadly.

To add I can't understand why the goal was disallowed, was it supposed to be a foul?

Bournemouth had also come off playing 120 minutes midweek, they didn’t even need to try today, wait for the Burnley mistakes to happen and take chances.

It’s a foul but I soft one, the problem I have is the inconsistency when you think to Trafford at Luton. That’s the problem with Howard Webber’s cop out saying it’s ’subjective’ can’t have var on subjective calls, var should only be used for offsides if that’s the case and let the rest of the game be made on subjective calls from the ref

If you remember the FK nearly going in, you remember at least one shot which was not like a pass to the keeper.

From memory we had two great chance for Odobert )in both halves), a header from Vitinho, Esteve missing his kick when Odobert got to the byline, a marginal disallowed goal, a 1v1 and rebound squandered. These were not half chances. And of course the free kick.

Whether because Bournemouth were crap or because we were decent, we created plenty today, particularly first half.

The problem today was we were far from clinical.

I don't we was unlucky at all I can't remember Neto having anything to do apart from the free kick. In terms of possession we had the lions share but didn't do much with it. It never looked like we would score & Bournemouth just held their shape & picked us off at will & looked more threatening with the forays upfront. Overall it was a better performance but same old story empty handed just don't have the nous.

He had to come out and save a 1v1 didn't he?

Apart from that we simply weren't clinical. Bereft of confidence in our finishing. We created the chances though.

Maybe another odd chance it wasn't like he was being overworked. Chance creation it looked evenish but yet again a way was found.

The only positive from the entire season? Sheffield Utd are actually worse!! Hard to believe, but it's true.

Thought first half we were good. Final ball always seems to be poor though. Second half average.

Enjoyed Vitinho playing like an actual Brazilian today.

Yes we were a tad unlucky and it's not unrealistic to say that
with a bit of luck we could have scored a couple of goals.
On another day (and another referee) the one that we did score but was disallowed
might have stood and the one their keeper made a wordly save was just a few inches away
from being over the line.
There's also been a few games where with a little more luck we could have come away
with a few more points. Wolves away, Luton at home come to mind.
We haven't had much luck with injuries either and have been missing two/three
of our better players for much of the season.
Whether this next point can come under the luck umbrella might be debatable
but certainly, in comparison with last season, very few of our new signings have managed
to settle in and make the grade.

Having said that we've virtually had to change or lost, or been unable to re-sign a large number
of players from our Championship winning team. And have had to bring in far too many replacements.
Most, if not all unproven at Championship level never mind Premiership level.

It really was asking far too much of all involved and would have required a bucket full
of luck for things to have worked out much better than they have.
