I've posted on here and on social media that I didn't count Sheff Utd as a proper win as soon as it happened. We had two really tough games against them last season and you always knew what to expect from them. They're a hard working, well organised team.

The Sheff Utd that rocked up to the Turf earlier this season had an agenda. Namely, they wanted Heckingbottom gone. They were worse than atrocious. It wasn't a Burnley win, it was a Sheff Utd loss designed and played out to perfection by their players. Look back at the goals and the complete lack of effort from their defenders. Then compare that to last season. It was the same players.

We will go through the whole season without beating a proper team at home. How utterly depressing.
So which sheff utd team turned up at their even heavier defeats, even under the new manager?

It must feel like an almighty consolation to some people to be reassured that we aren't the worst team in the PL heaven forbid how people will react if they get any sort of result tonight against arsenal & in doing so dump as down at the bottom.

There weren’t that many empty seats. I said to my brother when I sat down that the lower tiers of the stands were fuller than I thought they would be.
Where do you sit? I sit in the Fishwick and there were loads of empty seats scattered about in the other three stands

They have significantly improved performance wise since heckingbottom although the results could have been better. Wilders actually gained more points than Kompany since being reappointed on a game by game comparison.

It makes no odds either way to me we are both going down too far adrift imo.

They’ve lost their last 2 home games 5-0

I'm on about the points accrued since he took over. Isn't it something like 2 wins & a draw 7pts that's over half we've accrued all season & he didn't start the season.

You not counting it as a proper home win doesn’t alter the fact that it is a proper home win.
It was a win thanks to one team deciding not to play. A hollow victory at best, and hardly one to be proud of.

Wilders still got more points than Kompany since being reappointed.
