"keep out of the black and into the red, nothing in this game for two in a bed"

"We'd love you to win it"

RIP

This tread title had me checking Tony Green the footballer who was forced to retire after a knee injury inflicted by a clumsy tackle when he was just short of his 26th birthday. He really was a brilliant player. Still living and a fair bit younger than 84.

He was the first one that came to my mind too.

Played for Blackpool I think. Maybe others too.

Listen to Tony said Jim, who then said take your time just as the contestant was about to throw putting them off and missing the board! RIP Tony Green, another part of my past gone. :(

Innnnnnnn one..then Jim would totally destroy the excitement of Tony's build up to bully's prize board by announcing something drab like a teasmaid or coffee table.
RIP.

Tony Green the footballer is 77. He moved from Blackpool to Newcastle with a friend of mine Keith Dyson moving in the opposite direction.

Keith lasted longer but both lost their careers early to bad injuries. One scored goals but Green was a simply outstanding footballer.
