Re: Massengo injury?
What is with our players and injuries?? The guy has barely kicked a ball in anger all season and now you're saying his foot is in a boot implying he's unfit to be selected. It sometimes seems our guys get injured putting the bloody bins out! (Shame if it's true because from the tiny amount I've seen I feel the guy has some potential and I'd like to see more of him).

I've mentioned it before - in the documentary Kompany made a big thing about the percentage of player availability he had at Anderlecht and that clearly hasn't been replicated. If you look across the PL as a whole so many squads have been decimated particularly this season. It seems to be a league issue for some reason

I'm convinced the winter world cup knocked everything out of cync for the players. Messed with rest and recuperation for the players.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 6:14 pmI've mentioned it before - in the documentary Kompany made a big thing about the percentage of player availability he had at Anderlecht and that clearly hasn't been replicated. Even compared with the season we were relegated, the pace in the PL seems to have gone up a gear.
I suppose something has to give.

I wonder if with all the monitoring and testing they do these days whether they’re just overworking players because they’re constantly having their performance monitored.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 6:18 pmI'm convinced the winter world cup knocked everything out of cync for the players. The pitches are better, boots are better, balls lighter, players fitter, but this probably has that knock on effect.
Plus players don’t play with injuries anymore, meaning they won’t be walking with a limp in their 40s

It would be worth one of the fitness guys explaining what they do these days to stop fans guessing.Burnley1989 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 6:28 pmI wonder if with all the monitoring and testing they do these days whether they’re just overworking players because they’re constantly having their performance monitored.

Re: Massengo injury?
Best said if he didn't play injured, he would have never played a game.
We appear to have plenty of players in that position.

Re: Massengo injury?
I think a lot of the injuries are ironically due to the quality of the pitches being so good there just doesn't seem to be any give in them.
Hope he's OK, I reckon the lad is a real prospect.
