Muric 10. Never has a keeper deserved a clean sheet more.

Actually I don't remember very many because we just punted it clear and kept our shape more often than not.spt_claret wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 5:04 pmMany, many times under Dyche. Basically game management to run down the clock.

Enjoyable, frustrating, and nervy all in one. But mostly enjoyable and that's what it's all about

Muric my man of the match in a game we should have won comfortably

Christ! Feel a bit emotional after that! Get in!!!!
Re: Burnley vs Brentford - MATCH THREAD
That’s what happens when we play with 11 men
Re: Burnley vs Brentford - MATCH THREAD
Feck the saves. The distribution is such a breath of fresh air. You can see the confidence it brings n the players' desire to make runs.Superjohnnyfrancis wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 5:07 pmHope Muric is ok for next game what a masterclass in saves

We'd do it most of the time when we broke. Boyd did it a lot. Rarely the last kick of the game but every little helps at a 1 goal lead.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 5:07 pmActually I don't remember very many because we just punted it clear and kept our shape more often than not.

We were cruising for the majority of the second half, but the first substitution seemed to set us back.
Not blaming Amdouni for that, though - he took a yellow card for the team.

Of course, when he plays it pushes the other team back ten yards. Needs to play the rest of the games now

Would tend to agree. The ball was at least sticking up top when Bruun Larsen was on.Superjohnnyfrancis wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 5:12 pmWe can’t afford Amdouni in the team now too costly in possession

Re: Burnley vs Brentford - MATCH THREAD
Forever remember one game against I want to say City or Villa where he was pegging it to a loose ball in their third and his top speed looked like he was in slow motion. Loved Boyd but he wasn't exactly a dynamic counter attackerboatshed bill wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 5:12 pmBoyd was doing it all game, whether we were winning or not

Great start to the weekend. Burnley win, Luton and Forest drop two points each. And I got both results and scores right in my predictions and one of them my NAP.

Re: Burnley vs Brentford - MATCH THREAD
Today is exactly how I expected our games in the PL to go with our style of play from last season - a bit turbulent, rode our 'luck' at times but kept going and kept fighting. Very pleased to see that we're still that side.

Because they start 108m from our goal and how many goals do you see that start from there?tarkys_ears wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 5:03 pmWhy. So we can keep it for another half a second then lose it anyway?
When has this EVER worked for us? Tell me cos I'd really love to know.
The reason that every club in the world, bar us, do it.

Re: Burnley vs Brentford - MATCH THREAD
“Supporters” is an incorrect word for people who seem to get pleasure in maligning and criticising their own players.Mansfield claret wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 4:44 pmHas there ever been a set of supporters, however small, who wish one of their players to fail as much as this?
“plural noun: supporters
1.
a person who approves of and encourages a public figure”
I don’t see or hear much encouragement from these people.
