It was bizarre but effective, he was hitting Jay's chest every time, incredible accuracy. I don't think I've ever seen a keeper use that technique

Re: Arijanet Muric
As I posted on the other thread......
Today's stats for Muric
Accurate passes 68%
Accurate long passes 61%
So does that put 2 myth's to bed?
He won't be able to pass like that in the Premier League ( his stats so far match up to his championship ones )
And.........
He was only able to do it today ( Brentford) because they were down to 10 men
* Cough cough

He's a proper modern day Goalie.
That save onto the bar/post first half.

Re: Arijanet Muric
What could have been if he'd played all year.
One thing is for sure that if he plays like he did today and in the last game with any sort of consistency at the top level then he will move for mega money and have a phenomenal career.
Some people forget that he too is only very early in his career in terms of age and games played. This is some statement to make but he's got all the attributes to be a world class keeper- his distribution is probably already close to that level.

He is a very good goalkeeper. Even his throws were on par with his passing.

I don't want him to move for mega money! I want him to play for BFC for as long as possible! Worth the disproportionately hiked season ticket fees alone!boyyanno wrote: ↑Sat Mar 30, 2024 7:11 pmWhat could have been if he'd played all year.

Muric was superb and his mate mega throws to Jay were great to see , not sure if he’d injured himself . Great sweeping too

Made a huge difference to the back four. Not just him though imo, I also think Cullen coming back coupled with Muric just gives the team a much better way to transition the ball and that's helped the back four enormously.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Sat Mar 30, 2024 7:18 pmI know it’s only 2 games but how much more assured esteve and O’Shea look with muric behind them
Kompany seemed to be asking the players at the back to keep playing a short passing game without the two architects of that system from last year (Cullen and Muric) now they've both returned we look far better for it. I'm glad he's made the changes but I do wonder what took him so long.

Re: Arijanet Muric
I was critical of Cullen at the beginning of the season but it’s clear the all out attack tactic didn’t suit him. Playing the style we have since Arsenal away I think Cullen compliments Berge and it’s strange why it took for brownhill to get sent off for him to be given a chanceboyyanno wrote: ↑Sat Mar 30, 2024 7:27 pmMade a huge difference to the back four. This message board has been 100x better since that awful poster Nori was removed (and his other usernames have had to keep their heads down a bit more).
There's certainly another problem poster though who enjoys ruining threads just for the kicks. The words humiliating and embarrassing no longer have any true meaning.

Re: Arijanet Muric
This is our 100 million pound player!
He was outstanding in all aspects of his game today! I think he will end up playing for a top European team at some point during his career. He plays with a real swagger and it seems like that confidence rubs off on the whole team. Fantastic distribution and his shot stopping was great today as well!

I don’t think it’s by any coincidence that Muric coming back in has resulted in an upturn in our performances and results.

Re: Arijanet Muric
I remember being outed on this board back in August when I scored him a 10 in the Forest league cup game. It was so clear to see even then how much of an impact he made to the rest of the team. The team should have been built around him, with players who complement his vision and who can receive a pass in tight areas when fired at them.
It’s frustrating how he’s had to wait to the final run in, in a relegation scrap to be given a chance. I wouldn’t blame him if he wants to move on this summer, but I hope he doesn’t.

I think Muric all season is 10 more point or so
Cullen was written off to soon too
But unlike Muric that we were all calling for I think the missing of Cullen went under the radar a bit

Re: Arijanet Muric
I think this too, I've said it lots. Can absolutely see him doing it at AC Milan or Dortmund for example. It just seems to fit. He has everything a modern keeper should have.California Claret wrote: ↑Sun Mar 31, 2024 3:11 amI think he will end up playing for a top European team at some point during his career.
Re: Arijanet Muric
The stupidity on this thread is off the scale. One-digit mental age scores.
As for AM, he has an undeniable presence. A lot of the best keepers in the game have had such a presence.
He's now back in the team and we just have to hope he can inspire the lads to dig deep and see the season out restoring pride.
But giving grief to James Trafford is childish.

Re: Arijanet Muric
Muric yesterday gave the team a tempo in our play.In the debate of Muric v Trafford its the one thing Trafford has failed to give us all season. I thought his contribution yesterday was outstanding and I am not particularly a Muric fan. How he was kept out of the team until the 28th game of the season bearing in mind our losses and goals conceded,is on a par with the current sub-postmaster scandal.
Re: Arijanet Muric
I think if he plays all season we are comfortably out of the reckoning for a bottom 3 place. It’s a huge what if.

If he’d have played all season we’d have been nowhere near the bottom three. Huge error from Kompany, I’d rather keep Muric if push comes to shove.
