That doesn't really fit in with VK's post match interview where he spoke of "doing what's best for the team".

He had clearly decided that inviting the press needed ditching, neither the keeper nor most of the outfield players are up to this League's standard of dealing with it and so we needed to change tactics.
Muric distributed generally quickly and accurately yesterday with players actually moving to give him a chance of pinging it at them.
It gives us, especially against the likes of Brentford, much more opportunity to get at them.

As Trafford was on the bench, I can only assume he was ready to play.

Definitely BS unless VK is putting injured players on the bench then again anything is possible in the asylum.

it does if he was injured or not 100% - he's obviously done what's best for the team

If he was injured or not 100%, he'd not have been on the bench or doing the full warm up, would he?

Didn't Kompany say after the match that it's now Trafford's turn to support Muric whilst he has the shirt?

It'd be the end of the road with the relationship between manager and fans should it happen.

Pretty poor form from VK and the club, though. A contractual agreement with a player regarding him starting every game unless injured - basically ripped up and thrown in the bin. I'd be furious if I was Trafford.

Perhaps they'd worked on specifics in training with Muric in goal so didn't want to change it all last minute.

Kompany's finally made the right decision but the problem now is its quite clear hes been getting it wrong all season.

Hopefully he can keep the respect of the dressing room still after that because realistically thats the most important thing and its vital they are able to trust what he says.if they see him getting it so blatantly wrong that trust may be tested.

I am not a huge fan of Muric, but for heaven's sake why did it take until 28th game to play him when you look at the goals conceded by our defence. Muric needs to play now unless he has at least two stinkers in a row

If Muric has 2 stinkers in a row resulting in 2 defeats we'd just as well give Vigoroux some games :D

Interesting reply's to my update.

As it stands he will play the next game if fit, its a contractual obligation agreed by none other than David Eyres and BFC.

Just suppose for one minute that this contract clause was true. What does David Eyres gain by seeing his player's saleability drop week by week?

I don’t want to see Trafford back for a while but I don’t think it would be ‘the end of the road’ if he did come back. From people I speak to and things I’ve read the feeling towards VK is nowhere near as bad as the feelings of a lot on here. This board alas does not appear to be representative of the general feeling on many things, not just VK. I’m not sure why, maybe people like a good moan, but I read things on here then actually speak to people and opinions differ quite a bit. Apart from murdering one of my family there is no reason I personally would want VK to leave, he is the best way forward whatever happens this season. And the last three games along with the Forest deduction actually gives me some hope. A big mountain to climb yet but the mountain is now climbable.

Very easy to look at that from the other side and say our defence has no confidence in Trafford so don’t know whether to stick or twist.
