Chadderton got beat tonight against the Isle of Man.
Which is good for Padiham, keeps them behind on GD having played a game more.

Re: Padiham FC
The FA have allowed the Northern League to extend until May 11th due to fixture pile up.
Re: Padiham FC
Can somebody explain how relegation works in the NWC Premier please?
I'm trying to get to a few non-league games before the end of the season, the next one being Bury vs Ramsbottom and then Ramsbottom vs Padiham next week thinking Ramsbottom were in a relegations scrap (as well as the other two teams hunting for promotion) but it looks like only 1 team gets relegated on the NWCFL website? But then four teams get promoted overall from the Northern and Southern divisions?

Re: Padiham FC
Fewer relegations from step 5 this year as they are trying to increase the size of the divisions in that league. Not everyone from the NWCFL Div 1 North/South will go into the NWCFL Prem- for example Brocton who have won Div 1 South might end up in the Midland League Prem, depending on where the boundaries are drawn. It can be very confusing!Jjjack wrote: ↑Wed Apr 10, 2024 7:47 amCan somebody explain how relegation works in the NWC Premier please?

Re: Padiham FC
Just got back from the semi final, Colne won 3-2.
First half was very tight not much in it. Colne went 2-0 up the 2nd was a great goal.
Second half Padiham absolutely murderered them and created chance after chance then Colne went 3–1 up against the run of play. Padiham continued to dominate and made it 3-2. Then somehow didn’t get an equaliser was just non stop attack after attack. A great save from Colnes keeper denied them an equaliser.
500 attendance at Darwen. Good Luck to Colne in the final against Bamber Bridge.

Re: Padiham FC
An enjoyable game but wrong result from my point of view Padiham certainly had more than enough chances to win at least they still have the play offs in sight.Good luck to Colne in the final even if their fans were getting a bit too cocky tonight( only kidding)

Could have been about 5-2 to Padiham on another day. Missed chance after chance.Ptangyangkipperbang wrote: ↑Wed Apr 10, 2024 10:39 pmAn enjoyable game but wrong result from my point of view Padiham certainly had more than enough chances to win at least they still have the play offs in sight.Good luck to Colne in the final even if their fans were getting a bit too cocky tonight( only kidding)
Re: Padiham FC
Could have gone either way but Colne dug in and nicked it, bit like us under Dyche.
Wasn't impressed with the attitude of 1 or 2 of the Padiham lads tbh, spent most of the game throwing themselves over and bitching at the ref.

Could have gone either way ? It only looked like going 1 way and that was a Padiham win, Colne didn’t get out of there half second half. Literally 4 shots and 3 goals.
I thought the referee was very poor didn’t give Padiham anything and let Colne slow the game down and time waste.
Padiham fully deserved to win that and on another night it’s comfortable for them.

My mate has a season ticket for South Shields in the National League North
These are the teams in that league this season
Re: Padiham FC
Colne took their chances when they came. Padiham didn't really seem to turn up the first 20 minutes, bit overconfident maybe?ClaretsPadiham wrote: ↑Wed Apr 10, 2024 11:12 pmCould have gone either way ? Once they focused on playing football instead of trying to influence the ref they were the better side.

Re: Padiham FC
Massive game tomorrow at Gigg Lane for Padiham infront of what will be over 4 thousand fans, quite a few going from Padiham too.
Padiham needing to win for the play offs and Bury for automatic, Bury aren’t in good form at all and if they play how they have recently the Storks could full well get the 3 points.

Bury have won their last 3 games and are one of the form teams in the league at the moment (top 6 in the form table I think), they're also one of the best teams on their own patch. Will be very very difficult for Padiham to get anything there todayClaretsPadiham wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2024 10:54 pmMassive game tomorrow at Gigg Lane for Padiham infront of what will be over 4 thousand fans, quite a few going from Padiham too.

Padiham’s game against Bury is now Tuesday being played at FC United of Manchester. Here’s the state of Burys pitch yesterday, they have made a choice to get 3G installed over the summer.

Anyone going over to FC United tomorrow, you need to pre book your tickets online and choose away end(if your supporting Padiham that is)

Just seen that Padiham are hosting a game for Barlick this week.
Crazy season where plenty of clubs have had to play home games at other clubs.

Re: Padiham FC
Do Padiham just rely on volunteers to maintain the pitch? Seems in good nick these days.

Re: Padiham FC
Padiham win 3-0
Prestwich Heys lose 6-0.
Which means Padiham basically in the play offs with one game left as they are 3 points above and have a +14 goal difference on Prestwich Heys.

How do the play off work in that league?
Same as the football league as in one leg at each ground then a final at a neutral ground?

Charnock Richard last night won the first of their games in hand 5-1 at home to Irlam. They are at Barnoldswick tonight and Colne on Thursday. Be some achievement if they win all 4 considering the gaps between the games.

Re: Padiham FC
What’s going on there? I see Bury have moved their match to midweek. And now unknown opponents.
Re: Padiham FC
Bury will be at home in the play off semi final next Tuesday. Their opponents are unknown because Charnock Richard have 2 league games left & if they win them both (they're at Colne tomorrow night) then they will displace Kendal in the play offs & travel to Bury while Padiham will go to Wythenshawe Town. If Charnock miss out then Bury will be at home to Padiham & Kendal away to Wythenshawe Town. Simples!RammyClaret61 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2024 10:28 amWhat’s going on there?
