He looked good, I thought.

Could’ve had another hatrick today - header in the first and through on goal well saved just before the goal.

I saw his hat-trick at Crewe on twitter yesterday, looked way above that level in that small clip - where did we get him from ?

He's been with us since he was 14. He has dual British/Zimbabwean nationality but perhaps my favourite fact about him is that his father is the splendidly named Anywhere Masara!

Some pleasing results coming in from our young teams. It would be brilliant to see another young lad make the step up.

Looks a player to me.

Even accounting for the age gap he looked quick, real turn of pace on him. Tricky, over did it/out tricked himself a few times today but on another day it comes off and looks brilliant. Looked a threat throughout.

Pressed well, challenged for arial balls surprisingly well, decent shooting.

I’d get him in the U23s on that showing!

Strange game, three goals in the first half with not much good football. Missed some chances in the second half but defended well when we had too. And it was bloody cold in the Bob Lord.

It bloody was cold.

Agree with your thoughts on the game. Was impressed with the defence today, thought we defended resolutely.

No more than 1k I wouldn’t have said. Maybe less.

I think we’d get more if we played on a weekend though.

It said 9 degrees on there but felt a lot colder in the Bob Lord.Been in a few times and the wind seems to always blow through this stand.Work going on behind the Jimmy Mac goal lower seating.

Also found out why folk are complaining about the Coffee in the BL ... it was slightly "warmer than tepid" today ... 😠

I thought we did and that was the team Bevan played for. Just realised he was actually playing today

So no, doesn’t look like it. Good news was I was wanting to see him play & I have now :D

Number 7, who I also thought looked decent. I’d have known he was playing if I’d not been too cold to take my hand out of my pockets and check numbers!

I don't think there could have been many more than 150 in there to be honest. We were all in one section of the stand.

I'm glad they did.

I hated seeing young players staying in a system, where they weren't playing first team football, until 23.

They should try and move down the leagues and forge a career.

Steward told me they were only expecting 100 - maybe if you add in the back room staff in grey coats sat in directors box
maybe 150 😂

We've seen some lads leave us in recent years who have benefited from taking that chance.

Jimmy Dunne, Josh Benson and Mark Helm have all moved, Dunne was 23 but the other two were 21. Dunne has now played 100 Championship games for QPR, Benson is approaching 70 for Barnsley in the Championship and League One and it would be much higher but for injuries, and Helm, who left in January 2023 has now played just short of 50 League One games for Burton.

All three could have stayed with us and wouldn't have played anything like that if at all.

A bit remiss of you CT but you forgot about Bobby Thomas who has just got to an FA Cup semi final.

Just below league level Conn Clarke has emerged as a big goalscorer for Altrincham who are pressing for a play off place.

I think there were different circumstances with Bobby Thomas. Cricky Conn-Clarke went to Fleetwood but we were releasing him.

There were 4 fans who were supporting Bournemouth in front of me who I presume were relatives as they were waving at one of their players when they came on the pitch just before kick off. That’s a hell of a journey for a lunchtime start on a Friday for an U21 game. Thats dedication.

First time I've seen these lads. Three minutes' highlights but Tom Tweedy looks a player. Glad to see Vernon Masara show more interest in scoring than getting the Bournemouth defender sent off.

I think Joe Bevan was number 7. He’s the lad who came from the Lowland League in January.

Joe came from Albion Rovers who play in the Lowland League, not the Highland.
