I don't really remember much division in the stands, but i only started watching us in the glory seeking days of 91/92.

Of long time players and the internet, I suspect our divisive players are mainly goalkeepers; we have given front row seats to such goalkeeping luminaries (and these are in our good years!) as Brian Jensen, Lee Grant, Gabor Kiraly, the perpetually injured Danny Coyne, Joe Hart, and prior to all that was the Marlon Beresford/Nic the Greek season where they tried to outdo each other in the 'I'm the worst goalkeeper', 'no, I'M the worst goalkeeper' contest in one game!

I’m on the positive side here - crucial player for us in the two promotions under Dyche. Strangely, many referred to him being one footed but nothing was ever said about Trippier or Arfield in that respect.

Chris Wood is a great shout he couldn't do anything right in some people's opinion.
From the distant dark days past the full back Andy Wharton, mot very good but because he had BFC tattooed on his knuckles to some he was the new Keith Newton

Hendrick and Dave Jones was only divisive online; they never/rarely got grief from the crowd.
The only player I remember being booed by their our fans was Tony Philiskirk, we've been quite genial in the main since about 1996.

Ian Moore must be in there - plenty liked him - I thought he was a dog chasing a balloon. I’d probably have him alongside Martin Paterson, another who, his goal at Reading aside, I didn’t think much of.

There’s loads who have really divided opinion and plenty who still continue to do so… Hendrick, Brownhill, Amdouni, Wood, Marney, Jones, Vitinho, Roberts, Trafford, Jensen, to name a few of the current / more recent ones.

Probably easier to name the ones that divide opinion than those that are universally seen as either great or pretty rubbish!

All honesty I think you could have used either/or. Alan Taylor or Steve Taylor, Alan Taylor (ex Norwich and WHU) had is fair share of detractors. Steve Taylor was fairly well liked first time around… but got plenty of stick, but not as much as when he returned for his second spell.
