Team v Wolves ?
So Assignon is suspended and Muric looked to be nursing a hammy but hopefully he will play. So who fills in at rb and who makes way for Fofana
Muric ( hopefully)
Vitinho O’Shea Esteve Taylor
Brownhill Berge Cullen Odobert
Foster Fofana
Watched Wolves at Villa and despite a lot of injuries and losing they still looked strong. Will be a very tough game hence Brownhill back after a very good second half at Chelsea

I’d put Muric in goals if he had a broken leg

I'd definitely not have Brownhill in the starting eleven.
Re: Team v Wolves ?
I’d be tempted to start Foster and Fofana.
Re: Team v Wolves ?
Brownhill did alright when he came on against Chelsea.
Wasn't it him who got the assist for Josh Cullen's goal?

Re: Team v Wolves ?
I think it's time for the Foster and Fofana double up!!!
Could be a devastating duo - both tenacious, powerful athletes with an eye for goal... PL defenders won't be used to playing against a front two like that.
-----------Muric
Vitinho-O'Shea-Esteve-Taylor
---------Berge----Cullen
--JBL--------------------Odobert
--------Fofana----Foster
Foster being the one that drops in more and contests for the ball with his back to goal.
COME ON YOU CLARETS!

Got to be Foster and Fofana up front.
That's better than what Wolves and Everton can put out up front.

Like it
Foster probably not match fit so a bit soon to start again but a great option off the bench
Amdouni still a bit of a wet weekend
Brownhill off the bench for energy late on hopefully with a lead to defend

Re: Team v Wolves ?
Obviously the team for a quick turn around game depends in good part on physical fitness. There are a few players - most obviously Foster given he's only just returning, and Taylor given he was a fitness doubt on Saturday- for whom you'd imagine the first question wouls be whether they are in peal condition to go again.
However if everyone is ready to go, I'd go:
---------Muric
Vitinho OShea Esteve Taylor
JBG Berge Cullen Odobert
-------Fofana Foster.
I think Vitinho needs protection in front of him but JBG offers more craft than Brownhill, who is the alternative. It does feel like a game for two strikers but if Foster can't make it, I'd bring in Brownhill and possibly JBL for JBG to keep the balance of craft and athleticism.

Re: Team v Wolves ?
Agree Spice, except JBL not JBG.
Thought JBL was playing really well Saturday but was hooked because of the red card (although I might have been tempted to hook Odobert under the circumstances). Anyway, think he carries more of threat than JBG and can do the defensive work.

Re: Team v Wolves ?
I don't think he's as good defensively- see the Luton late equaliser. Hes not bad but JBG's experience is really important given Vitinho is fallible defensively.Lord_Bob wrote: ↑Mon Apr 01, 2024 4:08 pmAgree Spice, except JBL not JBG.

But I quite like JBL and in a sense he's the one sacrificed to play 2 strikers. If that isn't possible, I'd bring him back in.
Re: Team v Wolves ?
If Foster and Fofana are fit enough then you'd start with them every match. However, tomorrow will probably come too soon for Lyle so I'd go with whiffa's line-up.

Re: Team v Wolves ?
We now have a settled team, and expect to see
Muric
Vitinho OShea Esteve Taylor
Berge Cullen
Larsen Foster Odobert
Fofana
Brownhill to be used as a tactical sub in the event we get another red
For those saying JBG needs to be in because of his defensive duties-I was watching him Saturday and when Chelsea broke away and he chased back, I am sure the ref was keeping up with him. We need points not nostalgia now. Larsen has played well for us and at Chelsea he also did some good defensive work too

Re: Team v Wolves ?
I don't think that is fair on JBG, when you are as bad a referee as Mr England you need to be able to run away quickly!warksclaret wrote: ↑Mon Apr 01, 2024 5:29 pm

Re: Team v Wolves ?
Are you guys satisfied with how the Wolves are performing this season? If not, what would you change? This question intrigues me. I have asked the same question in the SportScore community, but I want to hear what you think

Re: Team v Wolves ?
You will not find many on here who care on here how Wolves perform as this is a Burnley supporters forum.
Sure some of the resident experts will be on soon to give a full run down.
Re: Team v Wolves ?
I am confident Burnley will do well this season, and they won't relegate. But I was curious about Wolves tho. It's good to know your enemies better. This is the purpose of my question.
