Plymouth are really struggling atm.

Could Whitaker be available in the summer?

How much would he cost?

He'll be overpriced..as all players in this country tend to be. We'll likely be shopping abroad again in my opinion.

I’d like Plymouth to stay up as it’s a ground I’ve never been to and always wanted to visit. Whittaker has a good games/goals ratio but I haven’t seen enough to judge whether he would suit Kompany’s very specific requirements.

A good shout we've plenty of fringe and youth players we could negotiate with
Imo he possess similar attributes to Oli Watkins.

I was pleased to see Argyle promoted last season and fancied they'd do pretty well, but they've been in free fall since Christmas when they'd actually looked to be safely in mid table. Odds on they'll unfortunately go down it seems unless they find some form from somewhere. I've been to watch us there three times and it's a great weekend, but looking like not next season atm.

Been garbage since Schumacher took the Stoke job.
Whittaker is a super player. Great movement, shoots from outside the box with either foot, plays with his head up and gets assists. I was wanting him in the January window.

As TT says, Plymouth been on a downfall since Schumacher took the Stoke job.

There new manager/head coach Ian Foster came from the England set up and the Plymouth fans aren't happy with him. They have gone from a pressing/passing style of play to a 10 men behind the ball, direct style.

At a glance, I thought this was a thread about Danny Whitaker, but this Whittaker has a double 't'. For those who don't know, Danny Whitaker is manager of Bradford Park Avenue. It looks like the mighty BPA are going down for the second season running.

Colin in the frame for the Plymouth job? Taken from the BBC Sport website but attributed to The Sun :

"Plymouth Argyle are considering Neil Warnock as a short-term replacement after the sacking of Ian Foster because they want a "firefighter", with the club just one point and one place above the Championship relegation spots. (Sun)"
