Muric 8 - need to see the goal back. Wasn’t convinced that he wasn’t a touch at fault. Looked like he started wandering towards the ball, stopped and got caught. But made a couple of excellent saves and his distribution is box office stuff.

Vitinho 6 - usual mix of some good and some not so good. But by God does he put a shift in. A proper Burnley player in that respect.

O’Shea 7 - another who mixed up some good and some not so good but delivered an absolute peach of a cross for the goal.

Esteve 6 - spun too easily on a couple of occasions but again, and there’s a theme about tonight, who mixed some good and some not so good.

Taylor 5 - final ball absolutely dreadful. Another who puts a proper shift in but not quite hitting his heights tonight.

Berge 8 - excellent performance.

Cullen 6 - very good first 15, then faded quite badly.

Foster 6 - another who delivered a mixed bag. Never a right sided forward but worked his socks off.

Odobert 6 - superb first 15, then faded for the rest of the first half. No idea where he was playing second half but the only one who kept looking to create in the second half.

Bruun Larsen 7 - outstanding finish for the goal. Decent shift and did well in flashes.

Fofana 4 - dog and balloon come to mind with that performance.

Rodriguez 6

Lots of effort all over the pitch. Huge amount.
Though their keeper had a v good game, we often lacked that bit of quality at the business end.

Muric 8 - passing sublime and got us out of jail half a dozen times, no chance with the goal I felt.
Vitinho 7 - only weakness that final ball
O’Shea 7 - a mix but a vital assist and turning into a leader
Esteve 8 - numerous match saving moments, just a couple of minor errors
Taylor 6 - final ball disappointing
Cullen 6 - started to get overrun as he tired
Berge 7 - neat and tidy but didn’t really create
Odobert 8 MOM - our most dangerous player who just needed his teammates to be on his wavelength
Brun Larsen 7 - sweet finish on an up and down day
Foster 5 - match sharpness not quite there so gave it away often
Fofana 5 - huffed and puffed but lacked that composed final moment

Rodriguez 7 - won a few headers which was the intention
Benson 7 - was dangerous in his cameo

We can point to the non foul for their goal and our bad defending for it, but clean sheets are rare in this league, what cost us was no 2nd goal. We huff and puff but don’t have the quality of a Gibbs White. But we are so nearly there and, due to the points deductions, have a chance now that we are playing better again.

Can’t believe I’ve just seen a 6 for Berge. He was the best player on the pitch.

Muric 9...almost worth the price of admission just to watch him.Great save from Ait-Nouri to keep us level.
Vitinho 7
Taylor 6
Esteve 7
O Shea 7
Cullen 8
Berge 7
JBL 7 (includes a plus 1 for a superb goal)
Odobert 6 ...I much prefer him on the wing
Foster 6..I much prefer him up the middle
Fofana 5..sub-standard tonight and greedy again at times

Enjoyed the game and very disappointing to concede like that right on HT, even moreso as didn't think it was a free kick. Cant fault the effort and our play was excellent at times..unfortunately the weakest part of our game was up-front with Fofana having a poor game and Foster and Odobert not in their best positions imho.

Muric 8 - Strong Performance Again
Vitinho 8 - had a brilliant game
O'Shea 7 - nearly a 6 as made a big error but maybe I’m being harsh as he got a great assist
Esteve 7
Taylor 6 - he is scared to shoot, did any of his low crosses find a claret shirt?
Cullen 7
Berge 8
Bruun Larsen 8 - 8 because of brilliantly taken goal
Odobert 8
Foster 6 - lots of effort and can tell he really is trying
Fofana 4- unbelievably one footed.

That was a game about tactics more than anything. I'm really nit sure about Kompanys constant tinkering especially when we were getting into a rhythm but it was interesting to watch.

We had a clear tactic to try and stretch the pitch as wide as possible to open up space centrally for Odobert and to create wide enough spaces for Foster JBL and Fofana to penetrate. It didn't really work because the individual performances of the forwards wasn't particularly good (or downright dreadful in Fofanas case)

I also thought the man to man press worked well early doors but began to get really ragged by the end with players commiting way to much and getting turned all over the place. If we defend that open in the Premier league then we won't win very often.
To be honest I'm quite deflated from it because it shows Kompany hasn't learn as much as I thought from this season. It was a display full of naivety but also full of endeavour.

I think we win that pretty xomfortably if he'd just played the more orthodox 442 with one of Foster or Fofana up front and the other as an impact sub.

For all our bluster we once again offered very little direct threat, we concede a soft goal and our manger makes the most bizarre tactical decisions imaginable.

Another home performance where points are lost and our lack of quality is clear to see. They tried hard I suppose.

Muric - 7 - need to see their goal again. We all know it wasn’t a free kick but he started to come from what I saw and hesitated and ended up flat footed in no man’s land. That said, free header is unforgivable

Vitinho - 7
O’Shea - 8
Eateve - 7
Taylor - 5 - in fairness, he was in space all night and I can’t remember him being given a half decent ball to run onto and whip in first time.

Cullen - 7
Berge - 8*
Odabert - 7

Foster - 5
Fofana - 3 - how he played 90 minutes only VK knows. He was appalling tonight
JBL - 7 - does he have fitness issues?

Jay and Benson should have come on much much earlier - and possibly JBG just for a bit of quality on the ball

Can’t fault the effort - all a bit too late I fear

Muric 9

simply brilliant..bailed us out 3 times in 2nd half...no chance with goal...has firmly put himself in the shop window now, and I think he'll be wanting out this summer..and in all honesty who can blame him.

Vit. 8..the lad is giving his all..big contribution tonight.
Charlie T...6 Grafter but absolutely no end product.
Dara ..6..3 dreadfully inept suicide passes..we just cant afford that.

Esteve..7...Steady enough.
.Cullen..8... simply brilliant positioning..infinitely preferable to Brownhills aimless harum-scarum.
Odob...6
Berge..7..often outpaced by their runners otherwise solid enough.
JBL.6.well taken goal..utterly woeful or non existent defending at times.
Foster..6..Not being asked to do what hes good at. Zero effective contribution in 2nd half.
Fofana..6. Over elaborate and often greedy.

VK..Im just baffled by his thinking (or lack of it)...we were crying out for fresh legs after the hour mark...

I see you haven't posted your own marks, but although I'm a fan of Berge, he seemed to spend more time tonight wrestling with the opposition than getting moves started or flowing.

A decent performance showing the sort of style and endeavour Kompany would want, undermined by the sort of goal that sums up our season.

Muric - 7 - wonderful distribution for the most part although it became a bit frenetic towards the end, one excellent save and a couple of excellent clearances leaving his area, but one of several at fault for the goal, and had Lemina's late header gone in there'd have been questions over his positioning.

Vitinho - 8- his final ball was at turns decent and frustrating, but he progressed the ball impressively up the right flank knitting attacks together, and showed real pace and endeavour to recover any number of breaks. Given the effort 3 days earlier at Chelsea his endurance was remarkable.

Taylor - 5 - no lack of effort but looked like he was carrying an injury (presumably the one that made him doubtful at Chelsea) and was long gone by the final whistle. Final ball suffered throughout.

O'Shea - 8 - aggressive throughout. A couple of dodgy passes but a wonderful pick out for the goal and he used that switch to good effect throughout. He and Esteve did over committing at times (including in thr build up to the equaliser) but that risk/reward approach squeezed the game effectively for long spells.

Esteve - 7 - as for O'Shea. Drove forwards a la Beyer effectively and showed impressive strength and pace 1v1. But having seen the goal again I think he and Cullen let Ait Nouri go and should do better.

Cullen- 8 - I thought particularly considering Saturday's herculean efforts he was outstanding, but he was another who didn't do enough to affect the set play from which they equalised. Got a touch more ragged late on as fatigue crept in.

Berge - 8 - really good commanding and determined performance, characterised by a level of aggression that hasn't always been there, but again clearly suffering physically late on.

Odobert - 6 - anonymous for an hour as he struggled to find space in an unfamiliar set up but grew into the game in the final 30 minutes, during which time he was unlucky not to score and showed creditable maturity to work back in midfield.

Foster- 6 - tonnes of effort and certainly a threat but wasn't quite able to produce the impression of Nathan Tella that was asked of him. Pressed really well.

Brunn Larsen - 7 - wonderful goal and basically unlucky not to add another on the hour having done most things right.

Fofana- 5 - not his night and looked a bit clumsy at times. Passed up a few chances to shoot for the sake of an extra touch. Surprised he played the 90, although he never stopped running and harrying and to his credit always showed for the ball.

Jay - 6 - not quite there but put a shift in.

Benson - perhaps should have had longer - a threat.

Had this been September, I think we'd be enthusing about a position performance that promised much for the season if we could sort ourselves out at set plays. The trouble is it's April, and whilst in many respects that was our most complete home performance of the season and ought to have been enough to win the game, once again a failure to defend set plays (not just for the goal but om at least 2 other occasions too) proved our undoing.

The formation sat a bit uncomfortably and at times did look a little overthought but on the other hand, the goal owed everything to that set up with JBL exploiting space creates by Vitinho, Foster and Fofana dragging defenders across the pitch. But with Fofana off his game and Foster clearly not entirely comfortable on the right, it was a surprise we didn't try something different earlier, be it JBL and Foster switching sides, a straight 442, or Fofana off for Benson with Foster down the middle.

In the end though it felt as though the unjust requirement to play an hour against individuals as good as Chelsea with 10 men caught up with us. Foster clearly tired, Taylor was completely gone and possibly not fully fit, and the outstanding central midfield two were also increasingly leggy. In the end we just didn't have enough for a final push in the last 15 minutes.

Berge 8
Cullen 7
Bruun Larsen 7
Odobert 7
Fofana 4 - looked miles off it.

Muric 8 - why has it taken so long for him to get the shirt? It's not an exaggeration to suggest we'd be 10 points better off had he started the season. This isn't a dig at Trafford either. Muric just moves the ball quicker, positions himself in better places to keep us ticking and ultimately allows us to play higher up the pitch, meaning we're not constantly under pressure. We're a different team with him in goal.
Vitinho 8 - in a fine run of form
Esteve 7 - a couple of panicky moments but steady enough
O'Shea 8 - he's developing into a good CB
Taylor 6 - got into good positions all night but his final ball was unusually poor
Cullen 7 - caught once but otherwise consistent
Berge 7 - steady performance again
Bruun Larsen 7 - an extra 1 for a sublime finish, otherwise hit and miss
Odobert 7 - a real threat when in the game, but drifts in and out too much
Foster 4 - dreadful, looked lost out wide
Fofana 3 - horrific, got absolutely nothing right all night. Made me pine for Ian Moore. How he got through 90 minutes is beyond me.

Muric 8

Vitinho 8

Taylor 6

Esteve 7

O’Shea 8 - Brilliant assist, some lovely floated passes out wide and won most of his aerial battles.

Berge 9* - Seriously good tonight. Broke up things very well and intercepted a lot of their play. Impressive given the multiple roles he is asked to play. In the first half especially he was a makeshift third centre back. Second half he was much more advanced.

Cullen 7

Odobert 7

Bruun Larsen 7

Foster 6

Fofana 4 - Really poor. Lost possession far too often and made too many wrong decisions.

An enjoyable game and one on another day we should have won. Lots of effort and endeavour but the tactics felt a bit off. The experiment playing Foster out wide with Odobert and Fofana in the middle really should have been changed around the 60th minute. It was getting far too congested, and all our decent play seemed to fall down whenever it went through Fofana.

Game was crying out for at least 1 winger to stretch play out wide and Fofana should have been the one sacrificed to accommodate this, arguably with Foster shifting to his more natural position centrally.

It feels like one of those games were Kompany again has been guilty of overthinking it.

Muric 8 kept us in the game although Trafford would have got slated for the goal we conceded.

Vitinho 8 MOM his work rate is insane and he's not as bad as some make out.

Taylor 7
Esteve 7
O'Shea 7
Berge 8
Cullen 7
Wilson 5 looked lost in the centre
JBL 7 what a strike and the crossfield ball shortly after was great too.
Forster 6 tried but their defender was too quick and strong.
Fofana 3 the dog and balloon analogy further up was very fair.

Jay 5 worked hard but pretty ineffective.

He wouldn't at all, the header went flush inside the side netting.

What we would have though is been penned in and not played through them like we did tonight on numerous occasions.

Muric 8 excellent distribution and confident. A better team with him in it but then many of us knew that.
Vitinho 7
O Shea 7
Esteve 7
Taylor 5 doesn’t offer enough going forward
Berge 7
Cullen 7
Odobert 6
Bruun Larsen 7
Foster 6 good first half
Fofana 5

An entertaining match and whilst we look a better team it’s a little too late. We lacked a bit of quality in the final third and although never a free kick our set piece coach might as well not be here. Another weak ref performance too.

He wouldn't at all, the header went flush inside the side netting.

What we would have though is been penned in and not played through them like we did tonight on numerous occasions.
It was more at the coming then stopping and so being in no position to get back to stop the header than anything else.
Also you'd be the most likely to have called him out for it too pal 😁

Muric 8
Vitinho 7
Taylor 5
Estėve 7
O'Shea 7
Berge 8
Cullen 7
Odebert 5
Bruun Larsen 7
Foster 6
Fofana 4

Rodriguez 5

Muric playing the long balls was varying in effectiveness but it did at least stop their press. But our forwards were wasteful and poor in the final third given the possession we had.

Muric 8 - he's top class. Great vision and distribution good overall, a few overhit longer balls. Clean handling and one fantastic save second half to keep us in it. Might have had a chance with the goal if he had stayed back.

Vitinhio 6 - got in some important blocks and covered round brilliantly in one instance in the first half. Good energy and sniffs out danger but distribution can be shocking at times.

Taylor 6 - not bad overall but didn't have the energy to really disturb them going forward.

OShea 7 - he's really growing on me. Positional play seems to have improved massively over the last 5-6 games. Really aggressive and not as reckless as earlier on in the season. Can knock a ball too.

Estève 6 - some nice forward runs but under hit a few back passes putting us into trouble. Seems to be learning with each game and has bags of potential if he can tidy up his time on the ball.

Cullen 7 - so impressive how he's slotted back in. Good energy but a but sloppy at times. When we play teams out of the top 6 he's more than good enough in this league.

Berge 8 - another that's growing on me. Seems a lot more alert and on the front foot the more the season progresses.

Odobert 7 - I think we have got a real player on out hands here. Really impressed with him in that more central role. Quite a mature performance against a good opposition. Some nice short passing and liked how he drove forward with the ball at his feet - just wish he had done it more tonight.

Fofana 4 - seems to be hot one game, then Ian Moore like the next. Touch and decision making left a lot to be desired.

Larsen 6 - brilliant finish for the game and looks good before running out of energy. Decent overall.

Foster 6 - Out of position, tried his best to break free and make openings but seemed to be caught in awkward areas. Nice to see him playing and hope he gets a run until the end of the season to find some form.

Can’t believe I’ve just seen a 6 for Berge. He was the best player on the pitch.
Or a 5 for Vitinho for that matter!

Muric 8 Whatever the reason he didn't play will surely cost us our PL status
Vitinho 7 His passing is wayward but he never gives up
Taylor 7 Acres of space but inconsistent with his crossing
Esteve 8* His best game for us so far and my MOM
O'Shea 7 A couple of sloppy passes as he understandably tired late on.
Cullen 7 A good battle in a tough midfield.
Berge 7 Another who worked hard and gave everything
Bruun Larsen 7 Excellent finish and sadly sacrificed late on when he shouldn't have been.
Odobert 5 Please let him play on the left!
Foster 5 At times his first touch is brilliant but sadly he faded very quickly 2nd half
Fofana 4 Nowhere near it tonight and should have been subbed after 60 mins maximum. I must admit to have never seen anyone with his running style.

Rodriguez 5

Wolves are a strange side, obvious talent front to back but resorted to falling about and cheating. Players rolling around to try and avoid a Yellow card. Their Keeper was outstanding in the second half.

Muric 8*
Vitinho 7
O'Shea 7
Esteve 7
Taylor 5
Cullen 7
Berge 8*
Bruun Larsen 7 extra point for well taken goal
Odobert 6
Foster 5
Fofana 4

J Rod 6
Benson 6 created one good chance in his short cameo, what might he have done with a longer one ?

Both Muric and Berge were worthy of Mom IMO Don`t really want to seperate them

Muric 9. Crazy that our goalie is the best passer in the team !
Vitinho 8 getting better by the game
O’Shea 7 inc 1 for the assist No foul prior to goal although he did give ball away prior to non foul
Esteve 7
Taylor 5 not his best
BL 7. Brilliant finish
Berge 8 our best outfield player
Cullen 6 looked a bit jaded
Odebert 7 worked very hard
Foster 5 still doesn’t look fully fit
Fofana 4 very disappointing

J Rod 5 not really in the game
Benson n/a but great to see him back and almost scoring

8. Muric
7. Vitinho. One superb intervention in the first half.
8. O'Shea. 2 superb long passes preceding the killer cross for a brilliant goal.
7. Estève. Steady Steve.
7. Taylor. Had a shed load of crossing opportunities but most them fizzled out.
7. Foster. A lot of link up play with Vitinho but very little end product.
7. Cullen. Steady away.
8. Berge. MOM. I wish he would shoot occasionally.
7. I thought he worked quite hard in the midfield role, squeezed out at the very last moment when through on goal.
8. Brunn Larsen. A decent game capped by an excellent goal (puzzled as to why he was subbed).
5. Fofana. Not his night tonight .

6. Rodriguez
6. Nearly clinched it with a trademark goal right at the end.

Not going to mark as watched most of the 1st half on the concourse and missed our goal on the way up to the JMU but I thought Muric was excellent, if slightly at fault for their goal. Berge was great again and Vitinho's energy was something else.

This looked like a team that had run itself daft playing with 10 men for an hour a few days before and it showed later in the 2nd half, plus coming up against one of the best keepers in the league was always going to be difficult.

Really good performance overall and this is a nice unbeaten run we're on.

Muric 8 - it is taking all my mental strength not to think about where we’d be if he played all season. He’s chaotic, he can be in his own world, but his distribution is utterly sublime and we look a significantly better team when he plays
Vitinho 7 - some sloppy play but leaves everything out there. Good movement.
Taylor 6 - willing but poor final ball
Estėve 7 - getting better
O'Shea 7 - solid in the main but can still be wayward. Really good work for the goal.
Berge 8 - excellent in the middle
Cullen 7 - really good partnership with Berge
Odebert 7 - some good, some not so good
Bruun Larsen 7 - as above, can go missing, great finish
Foster 5 - tried but clearly not fully fit
Fofana 4 - looked like he’d never kicked a ball before on occasion

Rodriguez 5 - huffed and puffed
Benson n/a - should’ve been on earlier

A really good performance and ALMOST another deserved win. Wolves had a couple of really tricky players, but overall were no great shakes and we could and should so easily have won except for their keeper having a worldy!! The "foul" that leads to their goal is utterly ridiculous as the guy basically pirouettes himself into the turf, but our defending of the free kick is equally ridiculous sadly.
I thought bringing Benson on for Foster was definitely the right and patently obvious call, but way too late and I couldn't understand that. Unfortunately we needed nothing less than a win tonight to keep our hopes flickering, but despite a really good showing, we still came up short.

Surprised a few might want to question Muric for their equaliser. He was never going to save it - it was a very good header into the side netting.

I thought he was immense again. His passing is simply sublime.

Muric 8 pushes them ten yards back every time, wasted 28 games without him

Vitinho 7 couple of dangerous and silly back passes into danger but good attacking

O’Shea 8 great assist and good heading

Esteve 8 decent game

Taylor 7 Shame we couldn’t get on his crosses some were decent, attackers nowhere near them.

Odobert 7 couple of decent shots better on left wing, doesn’t suit the centre mid role

Berge 7 playing too deep in a back five for half the game

Cullen 7 passed well

JBL 8 great goal, again

Fofana 4 everything was bouncing off him tonight should have been hooked early. Gave the ball away too many times

Foster 7 worked hard but why was he playing right wing?

JRod 5 doesn’t offer enough not involved, no pace

Benson 6 not on long enough one good shot and save from their keeper.

Seen some dross this season but sorry Vincent playing Foster out wide didn’t work should have played Wilson wide with Fos and Fof in the middle and stop doing short corners the chap who comes out of the hutch for set pieces should stop in there as they don’t work. Afraid it’s 2 points lost against an average Wolves team.
