Re: Rotherham
Aye, they're up and down between the two divisions.
And that result puts Plymouth just a point behind R*vers.

Re: Rotherham
Funnily enough I am just the opposite. Despite being too young to remember Frank Casper the player, my geography teacher was a Rotherham fan and followed Burnley as his second team since they signed FC… so had many a extra curriculum football chat and have kept an eye on Rotherham ever since.

Re: Rotherham
I remember us getting spanked by them in the FA Cup in the late 90s… never liked them. We don't seem to get decent results against them
Re: Rotherham
Going back to the 80’s I remember a Kevin Hird hat trick against them in a 7-0 win. I’m rubbish at remembering most games, but that one sticks in the memory, in a season of rubbish, made worse by our relegation and Bradford City going up as league winners.claptrappers_union wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2024 11:30 pmI remember us getting spanked by them in the FA Cup in the late 90s… never liked them. Lost 0-3 in the replay after a 3-3 away draw. They scored an amazing chipped goal down at the cricket field endclaptrappers_union wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2024 11:30 pmI remember us getting spanked by them in the FA Cup in the late 90s… never liked them. We don't seem to get decent results against them

Re: Rotherham
There's certainly some truth in that. They even did the league double over us the season we won the fourth division title!claptrappers_union wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2024 11:30 pmI remember us getting spanked by them in the FA Cup in the late 90s… never liked them. Re: Rotherham
Last year they caught a cold playacting trying to protect a 2 1 lead by time-wasting only for Dervisoglu to score a 12th added minute winner
They looked shite v Argyle and a long way off division one winners .Reading are a good bet to win Div 1 next year.

Re: Rotherham
Have a good mate who supports Rotherham so I have a soft spot for them. The Championship to them is like the Premier League to us. They just can’t cope with it.
Re: Rotherham
Didn't they beat us 6-2 at home under Stan too?

Re: Rotherham
They did, with not one, but two ex-clarets in Alan Lee and John Mullin getting two goals each.

Wasn’t an easy watch, Rotherham are truly dire & belong in the league below.
