Could quite easily have given 2 penalties against us. Red card probably right. No problems about Oliver from me.

Watched on a stream so can't mark he was OK, sending off harsh.

Would normally rate, watched on TV. He was OK, I thought the red was wrong but can understand. I thought Tarky could have walked for two yellows but also understand. Probably let us off with a potential penalty. Significantly better than anything we have had recently.

Disagree with the red, thought Muric would have easily got the ball first. But that would be borderline and I thought Oliver had a good game. Made me wish other refs had taken his view on minimal contact not being a pen.

I also watched from a stream and agree that he had a decent game from a clarets point of view. Everton could and probably should have had 2 penalties and O'Shea deserved the red card so we definitely can't blame the officials for this game.

I’m not generally his biggest fan but thought he had an excellent game today. I haven’t seen the red card incident again so if he got it wrong then his marks might well have been lower than I’m giving.

We have to blame somebody. Who could that be ?

I viewed the red card as harsh as I'm aware that Muric is generally pretty sharp and pretty committed at coming out for that kind of thing but if you based it on the average keeper then I can see why it was given.

I think that Muric was already about 30 yards from his goal.

Can’t stand the guy but he was fine today. Should have booked Tarks for the horrendous challenge on Esteve but that doesn’t mean he’d have collected the second for a red. Tarks is far too shrewd for that.

Not sure of the rules these days, I thought red cards were given for denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity with a foul, given how bad Everton were and how far away from goal the player was, was it obvious? Oliver was lenient on yellow cards early on.

Had he not pulled Odobert back he would have been through and who knows. So red card or a good chance ? We will never know because of refs error. I can assure you that had a Burnley player commuted the same tackles as Tarks he would have been off. Story of the season

Can’t score him as I didn’t go but it was a definite red card for me. Also thought we got lucky as I expected a penalty to be be given against us, can’t remember who our player was that caught their player, maybe Jay?

Agree with all of that. My point is he wouldn’t have pulled Odobert back. He is clever enough to know they are better off 1 down against us than down to 10 men with so long to play.

Seen it all now - still a red for me and we were perhaps fortunate to avoid a penalty against us on two occasions. They were the sort of decisions that VAR won't change either way.

I've only just seen the highlights, but that red card doesn't seem right imo, It's not high or dangerous, the balls gone and Muric is sweeping up, he's always getting there first even if O'Shea doesn't make the lunge

Poor yet again from Oliver imo !
