Nah **** that. Turning up to watch when it's all over is ****. 7 games of absolutely pointless dead rubbers. Deep joy

Re: Lets go again
What’s the point in getting excited by the rest of the season? We beat Brighton next week, so what?
Re: Lets go again
I’ve plenty of other stuff to be doing over the next few weekends but will look forward to watching live matches again in the new season and in the new division.

Re: Lets go again
Not going on for the remaining games? Why ever not?
There’s an interest remaining… who out of Luton and Forest are coming with us and Sheff Utd?
“I support Burnley me, but only when we win or when we play well or if we’re in the PL”
People acting all mardy like we were relegated today!!! We weren’t. We were relegated around November time….
As per the OP, we go again.

Re: Lets go again
Our older out of contract players will leave, our loan players will return home. If our summer signings are as bad as last year, God knows what kind of squad we end up with. We could be in trouble, if our signings are a similar standard to the ones brought in for this season.

At least it's an alternative to telling whoever cares that a season ticket is no longer on the agenda. Perhaps have a read of 'East of Eden' by John Steinbeck to gain a little more perspective on the current situation. Just a suggestion.

Re: Lets go again
It may have felt like it, but the reality is quite different. Beating say Bournemouth at home and winning an eminently winnable game against Everton yesterday would have left us joint on points with Forest (before today’s game). The reality is we’ve passed up an incredible opportunity to stay up on what will likely be a record low number of points required.

Some 'fans' may as well go and join the season ticket queue at the Etihad, Anfield or Old Trafford if they don't want to go on t'Turf when we've nothing to play for. Also, you would be in good company with all the plastics around you.

Hate any dead rubber games with nothing to play for. Hate pre pre season friendlies too as it doesn’t matter what the score is. Was happy to watch some awful teams in division four but whilst we had something to play for. Some super fans on here though who feel insulted if someone has stuff they would prefer or need to be doing than watching a meaningless game. I suspect some have quite dull lives and will often be the types tutting and grumbling if another fan leaves 5 minutes early.

I would never have ever thought there would be a time where Burnley would have glory supporters.
Unless you support a big 6 team - there will be ups and downs…

Re: Lets go again
I simply wouldn't buy a season ticket if I was going to get all pisspants and boycott home games when we have nothing to play for. I mean, if you live in the area and can't be arsed, no matter how badly we are playing when we are in one of Europe's top leagues, then Lord help us should history repeat itself.

Exactly this, we have a growing number of entitled "fans"
They must look at people going to games of every club in any division below scratching their heads thinking why bother with your club when you not in the top division. Luckily the majority are different to this.

Plastics tend to buy tickets for the Premier League only or support a big club from an armchair. I’m happy to watch us is in any league whilst points and results matter. Having been on TM when there has been less than 2,000 on I’m confident I don’t fall into this category.

There’s been some unbelievable levels of mardarsery this year.
One thing I find amusing is when I have a flick through the in-game match day threads and SM posts it’s always the same posters with the reactionary and negative comments… they’re never at games despite being most vocal. I find most match-going fans have much more balanced and realistic views.

Re: Lets go again
Going watching Accy Stanley gives a lot of perspective at just how far we have come looking at their opposition and we have often played them in the lower leagues not so long ago really. Playing teams like Tranmere Rovers ... and they were the favorites !Boss Hogg wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2024 9:40 amPlastics tend to buy tickets for the Premier League only or support a big club from an armchair. Re: Lets go again
I’ve watched us in all the bottom divisions and this season has probably been the least enjoyable I’ve ever watched.
I maybe would feel slightly better had I been to Fulham or Luton away lol! Only marginally i suspect.

Re: Lets go again
Well I certainly enjoyed the United v Liverpool game yesterday more than our game on Saturday !! The difference in effort alone was huge
