Two defenders who played in our youth and then under-23 teams before moving on. Both have played in the Football League and both are now playing for Solihull Moors in the National League.
Besides being in the play-off positions for a potential promotion into the league, yesterday they won their FA Trophy semi-final 2-1 against Bromley with Alex getting both goals - they now have a trip to Wembley to look forward to where they will play Gateshead, a team just one point behind them in the league and a team Alex played for on loan when still a young player at Burnley.
Best of luck to both of them - it's good to see some of our former young players doing well.

Sounds like the move away has done them good. Hope they win at Wembley

James played in League Two for Mansfield and Alex in Leagues One and Two for Morecambe, Bury, Chesterfield and Grimsby but now in the National League and doing well. Best thing for them was leaving us to get first team football elsewhere. James has had a difficult upbringing too (his dad is a Liverpool fan and his mum an Everton fan).

Chris Conn-Clark is having a tremendous goal scoring season at Altrincham. Almost guaranteed a play off spot.

Cricky has done unbelievably well for Altrincham and I expect he'll be playing at a higher level last season. Big surprise to me when he left for Fleetwood.Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Sun Apr 07, 2024 11:11 pmRe:ex-players

Saw Joel Senior & Jacob Bedeau playing for Morecambe at Accrington on Good Friday. Both played well and Bedeau was by far the best player on the pitch - against an admittedly woeful Stanley team.
