Manchester United's project is currently 11 years in the making, we have barely started!

Certainly not triggeredVegas Claret wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2024 2:15 pmEvery club uses the word 'project'
Imagine being triggered by the word 'project'
I used 'project' metaphorically and somewhat humorously to try and summarise how posters think the outcome of ALK's time with the club will play out, which so far, has been quite a mixed bag.

Re: 'The Project'...
I'd have thought the next step after "material risk" but clean audit opinion would be qualified audit report. The step after qualified audit report may be resignation of auditors. Administration would also come before the accounts are prepared on a "break up" basis (if "break up" is the correct term). Default on debt would also come before preparing accounts on a "break up" basis.aggi wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2024 1:23 pmOf course. Your post read as if it was downplaying the material uncertainty note by saying accounts were still prepared on a going concern basis whereas we both know that accounts being based on a break up basis is pretty catastrophic. Maybe that wasn't your intention but that's how it read to me.
Re: 'The Project'...
No idea, hate the fact ALK seemingly have no money of their own, everything is just borrowed using the club as leverage. Absolutely no idea how we sustain ourselves in the Championship for 2+ years.
Re: 'The Project'...
I think fans would’ve understood if the owners invested less in the summer in an attempt to use the incoming money to steady the financial ship. It seems like they have no interest in that though, it’s seemingly all or nothing.

I believe they have money, not billionaire money but a good deal of it. I also believe they have already cashed a profit for themselves on their original contribution to the sale transaction and upfront fees, I just do not know by how much, it is a win all the way for them now, the question is just how much that win is going to be finally quantified as?

I wasn't particularly pointing fingers on here, it's every supporter base especially when things aren't going well. Imagine being triggered by a nounCoolClaret wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2024 2:53 pmCertainly not triggered

That's what I suspect as well. Risk free now for them, sh1t or bust, for want of a better term.Chester Perry wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2024 3:27 pmI believe they have money, not billionaire money but a good deal of it.
