2 that stand out from his catalogue of dreadful refereeing decisions are the "foul" on the keeper by Ben Mee at Leeds when the keeper went straight through the back of him and dropped the ball and the non existent "handball" at Nottingham Forest this season, which was ably assisted by the even more incompetent Darren England.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2024 10:12 amHistorically had some terrible decisions in games rob jones has been involved in

Re: Referee confirmed for Brighton game
To be fair to Jones, and far be it for me to be fair to him, he gave the goal at Forest but then had England telling him it was a clear deliberate handball before they showed him the still picture.Herts Clarets wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2024 10:38 am2 that stand out from his catalogue of dreadful refereeing decisions are the "foul" on the keeper by Ben Mee at Leeds when the keeper went straight through the back of him and dropped the ball and the non existent "handball" at Nottingham Forest this season, which was ably assisted by the even more incompetent Darren England.
Mee at Leeds, the penalty at Leeds and his lack of improvement since says everything about Jones.

The decision at Leeds was blatantly corrupt IMHO.

Re: Referee confirmed for Brighton game
The decision at Leeds was actually the worst of the lot and an absolutely awful piece of refereeing all round. You tend to forget about it over time, but it was a complete fiasco. He could have waited all of 2 seconds as Barnes put the ball in the net and then let VAR take over which is exactly what refs would have been told to do in that situation. Ridiculous!

Still not over that decision at Leeds, complete farce.
Then refs will tell us it also wasn't a foul on JT against Luton

Apart from the woman ref and one other newbie, whose name never entered my head, we have been shafted every match. Prem wants us out.

England probably has Marinakis blowing up his phone telling him to disallow it at the time.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2024 10:44 amTo be fair to Jones, and far be it for me to be fair to him, he gave the goal at Forest but then had England telling him it was a clear deliberate handball before they showed him the still picture.

The one against Leeds was one of jones first prem games, and as above he hasn’t improved, lots of fans are in fear when they see he is reffing the game.
The one at Forest this season is all the officials clearly didn’t understand the handball rule and because a week or two later Gordon did something similar and the goal stood, it was away at sheff united I think

Re: Referee confirmed for Brighton game
I am just waiting for the ref line up if we have a chance of staying up against forest , will be dodgy as heck. Don’t think they’ll need it though they’ve done us in already enough this season.
