Dyche to be sacked?
Rumours that Dyche will be potted if 777 get in (struggle to see that happening so likely irrelevant). Hardly motivational for the run-in though.

Re: Dyche to be sacked?
When a club gets a new owner, one of the first out the door, despite the public backing in the first few weeks, is usually the club's football management team.
Re: Dyche to be sacked?
He'll be used to that. He suffered a similar situation in his first management job at Watford

Re: Dyche to be sacked?
Can they afford to sack him? I think they can't.
Re: Dyche to be sacked?
Don't think Dyche was sacked within weeks of ALP taking over at TM though

Re: Dyche to be sacked?
To be fair, after ALK taking over the club in January 2021, Dyche signed a four-year contact on 16 September 2021 then they sacked him in April 2022

Has the been sacked from every managerial job he’s had.
Re: Dyche to be sacked?
Not surprised they’ve won 2 games in like 15, couldn’t string two passes together.
Re: Dyche to be sacked?
Dyche is massively overrated - i dont care what anybody says

Re: Dyche to be sacked?
I think our comedy ineptitude is keeping him in a job somewhat ironically - a couple of gifted wins is all they really have to show recently. They've otherwise been pretty shocking.

They’ve been awful to watch this season.

He’s got Vincent Kompany to thank for the fact he’s still got a job today. Aren’t we his only two wins in the last 15?

Re: Dyche to be sacked?
They aren't playing great stuff but I think far too many are under estimating just how hard that job is right now.
Everton are an absolute basket case - I mean, who's even running the shop?
Chairman died, Moshiri wants out, new lot are dodgy as heck, trying to move stadium which they can't really afford, had the points deduction thing... Yet some Toffee's seem to think they have a god given right to be challenging for the top 6.
Strange one.

Re: Dyche to be sacked?
Their points tally is excellent when put in context. They are just going through one of those classic Dyche team spells which he usually ends by winning a few extremely ugly games allowing them to rebuild confidence.
I always find the way Defour respects him interesting. It sort of negates some of the criticism he receives.

Scenario:
Everton sack Dyche;
Forest get relegated and fire Nuno;
Forest appoint Dyche;
Forest romp the Championship.

Fishing trip?
Otherwise the best Manager Burnley have had in my lifetime. Most of what we have now is down to Sean Dyche.

Re: Dyche to be sacked?
No. The 2 eventual stars were Trippier and Ings at the time. Trippier was an overweight full back who couldn't defend and Ings was a talented prospect who couldn't score. Dyched changed that.
I think Austin and Trippier would be the only two that got into our current team. Eventually Ben Mee and Marney came good as well but not at that time

Re: Dyche to be sacked?
Anyone who wants to understand what type of club Everton are, better ask a Liverpool fan. Whatever they tell you will be fairly close to the truth - well, as close to the truth as a scouser can get.
The only people who don’t really understand what an absolute non-entity Everton are, are Everton fans. They live in a world where Man City, Man Utd, Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and Everton are battling it out to the last game of the season to see who lifts the title… meanwhile, in the real world, Everton are just a wannabe club, whose fans are utterly deluded about how ‘big’ they are.

Who is Nori on this thread? Nothing reads like them, IMO.
Nori/Grumps/Longsidelenny etc etc have always approached trolling from different angles. It’s a full time job for them to manage so many different personalities.

Shows how a good old takeover distorts things as prior to the takeover Man City were probably regarded as a smaller club than Everton and far less successful as well.bobinho wrote: ↑Wed Apr 10, 2024 7:44 pmAnyone who wants to understand what type of club Everton are, better ask a Liverpool fan. I'd still like to see Dyche manage a stable well funded large club, people forget some of the cracking football we played especially when Defour was here and the last promotion season.

Yes bfcjg, some of our football was sublime at times, amazing that he’s remembered as a long ball hump it and lump it manager. We were disciplined too, our red cards were non existent for a long time.

Re: Dyche to be sacked?
Absolutely. There will be plenty of Everton fans today who recall when they were the 'moneybags' of English football. They were the 'glamour' boys, Alex Young, the 'golden vision' whilst neighbours , Liverpool, languished in the old second division. Probably only Manchester United could compete with them for style and image.
