Big mistake passing out from the back.

Aye, cos they'd know, wouldn't they.

It really doesn't matter.

He was ready to come back early last summer but Chelsea said no. By the time Chelsea said yes, he’d changed his mind. Given he’s playing in the Champions League rather than at the bottom of the Premier League, I’d have to admit he made the right decision.

If Talk Sport really did say “he couldn’t wait to get away” then that is total bllx. Big difference between wanting to get away and not being willing to come back.

In all honesty I think he’s a great player but not the best defensively and not what we needed in a relegation scrap.

Yes. I was glad when we didn't sign him.

I wasn’t. Very good player who would have improved us immeasurably. Mistake or not tonight, there’s a reason he’s playing in UCL quarter final against Atletico Madrid.

A defensive player who Chelsea decided to cash in on
Of the three we missed in THB Tella and Ian he was imo the last one we needed.Great attacking too error prone defensively

I have no doubt he would have improved this side.

Anyway if you look his "mistake" the keeper should take the most blame as his pass out to Maatsen gave him absolutely no choice other than hoofing the ball out for a corner as every other team mate was being marked by by an Athletico Madrid player. Keeper the real culprit

I didn't realise Trafford was playing.

As a left back, he was a better left winger. Defensively naff. Not worth the money.
