Muric – 3. Not too much to do but critically, for the 2nd week in a row, an unacceptable mistake that has cost us vital points. Give Vigoroux a go now

Assignon – 6
Esteve – 7
Ekdal – 8 – he should be starting if he’s fit. Excellent positioning throughout.
Vitinho – 6
Taylor – 5 – crossing/decision-making continues to be poor.

Berge – 6 – did ok but yet again another moment of sloppiness around our box almost cost us
Cullen – 6
Odobert – 5 – little to no end product and invisible for large chunks of the game.
JBL – 6 – should have 2 goals in the first half but poor decisions both times. Should have been hooked 2nd half.
Brownhill – 7 – well done for determination for the goal.

Fofana – 4 – should have scored first half. Was on the periphery most of the game and it’s hot or cold with him.
Foster – 4 – play him down the middle please
J-Rod – 6

The season wrapped up in 90 mins. Did ok. Played reasonably well without troubling their keeper too much. Self-destruct button pressed yet again.
It was a must-win game. We gave it away.

Management Team - 3. A game crying out for a match-winner and we leave Benson on the bench. Enough said.

Cba scoring, ****** off.

I always said Muric wasn’t the answer but tbf, Trafford didn’t deserve to keep his spot either.

Ekdal had a good game & Berge de ent as usual

Muric 3 has to be
Assignon 5 at least he tried
Ekdal 8 mom
Esteve 7 did well with Ekdal
Vitinho 4 poor as always at lb
Foster 3 sorry for him but he is just not ok
Berge 6
Cullen 5
Odobert 5 flatters but rarely delivers
BL 4 what a miss
Fofana 3 what a miss

Brownhill 6 was rewarded for his effort
JRod 4 not at this level
Tresor 3 15 million surely that’s a hoax

Something big time wrong at our club. Seen enough of Manager He has to be at the center of our problems

I thought we were excellent first half. Bright, inventive, worked hard but missed 2 absolute sitters.
2nd half was a shambles as the team isn't fit enough plain and simple. However we also lost our attacking threat because we incredibly decided to swap Odobert who I thought was absolutely tremendous first half and looked an absolute nightmare to defend against 1v1 with Foster who put in an absolutely disgusting display. More baffling decisions in a season full of them.

Muric – 5 I don't really think it's possible to mark that display. He did well but then through in an absolutely horrific error

Assignon – 7
Esteve – 7
Ekdal – 9 – fantastic display
Vitinho – 5
Taylor – 6 plus one for a fantastic piece of defending to get himself back inside their forward and stop a certain tap in when they got free on the left and crossed

Berge – 6 can do a lot more
Cullen – 6
Odobert – 8 I thought he was absolutely tremendous first half they couldn't handle him, crossing off either foot and creating absolute sitters along with driving through the centre and winning a penalty (not given because of more useless refereeing). 2nd half he was quiet because he was stupidly moved in to the number 10 role so I'm not marking him down too much for that
JBL – 6 continues to get into goalscoring positions..some go in some don't but as long as he's getting the chances he will score goals.
Brownhill – 9 tenacious and deserved his goal.

Fofana – 3 crap and attitude getting worse
Foster – 3 I'd give lower if I could. That was a disgraceful 2nd half display. If he's not fit enough it's on him not anybody else..it's a real kick in the nads for everyone who's backed him through his troubles this season to see such a lack of effort.

Muric 3
Assignon 6
Vitinho 5
Ekdal 8* - how has this lad not played more this season? A defender who can defend.
Esteve 8
Berge 5
Cullen 5
Bruun Larsen 5
Odobert 6
Foster 4 - lost out wide but can never fault his effort
Fofana 3 - he told us he was lazy during his first interview, and wow, he wasn’t wrong. Bad attitude. Shouldn’t start another game this season for me.

Taylor 5
Brownhill 7 - rewarded for his effort

The forward two were abysmal today, Fofana was slightly worse, we just aren't good enough to carry players (not always the same ones) and expect to win games at this level.

Since Christmas we have had Luton, Fulham, Bournemouth, Brentford, Wolves and Brighton at home and picked up seven points. The chance to stay up was there, we just haven't been good enough to take it.

When it started tipping down I said we'll need to be really xareful now, no dicking about at the back on this surface. About 2 mins later we gave them an equaliser.

Shame as we'd been the better side for most of the game, albeit not saying much as Brighton are a pretty turgid team.

Muric 5 played well and cost us 2 points

Assignon 6 OK, does some really weird stuff at times though

Ekdal 8 pocketed Pedro and welbeck at different times, shame he got injured

Esteve 8 same, without the injury bit

Vitinho 5 nah

Cullen 6

Berge 5 partly culpable for the equaliser in that you just don't play it back to your keeper in front of goal on greasy surface. Fine in midfield, nullified at centre half

Bruun-Larsen 6 OK, tried to make stuff happen

Odobert 6 same as JBL, tried to do a bit too much though

Foster 4 out of position half the time and not at the races

Fofana 3 less than half arsed and had the temerity to act surprised when hooked

Taylor 7 a left back at left back and it showed

Brownhill 7 added some energy and bite and deserved his lucky rebound

All about getting things ready for next season now, as it has been for some time. This team really needs a goalscorer, we're decent enough until the final 3rd but there's nothing really up top.

Muric 5 One blooper but what a bloody big one, still better for the team than Trafford
Assignon 6 Shows some excellent touches when going forward although final ball crap but all over the place
positionally when defending
Ekdal 8 My MoM lack of game time probably caused the cramp but showed why he is contention to start games
Esteve 7 Played well in the main but looks a good pairing with Ekdal
Vitinho 6 Play him anywhere but at the back and he is an asset don`t know why he was subbed
Berge 7 Has he been told not to shoot ? does a lot of good work in the middle but could do to move the ball quicker
IMO
Cullen 7 Works damned hard for the team and is a far better captain leading more by example than Brownhill
Bruun Larsen 6 How did he miss the target, di some good work out wide only to finish it with crap crosses
Odobert 3 Should be nowhere near the starting 11, lazy, weak, disinterested, the early season promise is long gone
Foster 5 I don`t think we play to his strengths but didn`t create or contribute anything of note
Fofana 4 Thinks he`s better than what he is and cost us possession to often, refusing Fosters hand would end his game time for me, a bad apple

Taylor 6 Defensively made us better ( which in my eyes is most important ) but he offers very little going forward
Rodriguez 5 Again willing in every way but forwards need service and ours are well and truly starve
Brownhill 6 +1 for the goal, not really prem level quality but you know your getting 100% which can`t be said for half the team

Playing the three stooges up front doesn`t work only in VK`s mind, give Jackson the reins at least last time we got relegated we went down fighting not poncing about like VK atrocious acquisitions going down with a whimper, obviously the SD mantra minimum requirement maximum effort has now become maximum requirement minimun effort. Beginning to regret renewing at the thought of what we will be watching next season where some serious manning up will be required from a lot of our players/

Muric 5 Commanded the box. Another howler. Still a better option than Trafford.
Assignon 5 Unbelievably lightweight
Ekdal 8 Streets ahead of O’Shea as a defender. Can’t stay fit.
Esteve 8 Can we keep him?
Vitinho 4 Did nowt.
Berge 4 Slow, ponderous and that’s before being moved to centre half…
Cullen 5 Struggled against a very classy Pascal Gross. Just couldn’t get near him but he still makes us tick.
Bruun Larsen 4 Completely ineffective. Missed a sitter.
Odobert 5 Nothing ever comes off. Too young to be the main man and it’s unfair that he has to try to be.
Foster 3 Awful.
Fofana 3 Awful-er. Missed another couple of sitters. Gives the ball away for fun.

Taylor 5 Thanks Charlie. You’ve been great. You’re not anymore.
Rodriguez 5 Had an attempt on target within 5 mins of coming on. I’d start him because the other 2 are absolutely useless. What a shambles.

Another horror mistake cost us but a half decent side would have been 3-0 up by that point. We’re not even 1/10th decent.

Another one of those games where we control the first half but don’t have the quality or decision making in the last third to make the possession count. We looked absolutely shot for the last 15 minutes and the subs we brought on baffled me.

Muric 4 - I still think overall we are a better team with him in goal, but he’s cost us two weeks in a row

Assignon 6 - can’t make my mind up on him. Does some nice things and then can look a bit chaotic in his play

Ekdal 7 - so much better on the ball than O’Shea and competed well. His positional play has to be immaculate as he is very slow at this level

Esteve 7 - confident performance and saved us on a couple of occasions with vital blocks

Vitinho 5 - not a left back. Not good enough for this level.

Berge 6 - I always feel like he’s playing in 2nd gear. Had a good first half when we controlled a lot of possession but was unable to unlock their back line

Cullen 7 - typical JC performance for me. Tidy on the ball, keeps the ball moving, competes

Bruun Larsen 4 - a really bad miss in the first half, which who knows, could have made a huge impact on the outcome of the game

Odobert 6 - decision making let him down today. Gets in good positions and his first half cross to Fofana deserved more

Foster 4 - don’t have that spark he had early season. A goal I’m sure would give him the boost he needs to get him back on form

Fofana 4 - I’ve seen enough of him now to know he’s not the answer. Should have scored first half and didn’t link up with anyone

Taylor 5 - he’s been a great servant but I think he’s coming to an end at this level

Rodriguez 5 - always tries to get us going, should have done better with his shot on goal

Muric 4 - argh! Horrific error has cost us the game. He did pretty well otherwise but it's done us.
Assignon 6 - does something great, followed by something abysmal. Won't be losing sleep if we don't sign him.
Ekdal 8 - thought he was excellent, very commanding, and dealt with their threat well, as did...
Esteve 8 - improving game by game
Vitinho 6 - very chaotic today
Berge 6 - used the ball well but has to utilise better game management
Cullen 7 - busy as ever
Bruun Larsen 6 - he flits in and out of games
Odobert 5 - I've said previously that I don't see the player that some others see, and that continues.
Foster 4 - looks unfit
Fofana 4 - isn't as good as he thinks he is

Brownhill 7 - good energy and drive
Taylor 6 - solid enough but his limitations are clear
Tresor 5 - Benson should probably be on the phone to his agent

Infuriating. A cataclysmic error of Danny Baker Own Goals and Gaffes proportions has wrecked what was actually a pretty decent performance all being told. We played a more established, more expensively assembled team who we're arguably looking to emulate and had the number of them. The error is a shocker but the lead up is yet more poor game management - 1-0 up, it's ******* it down, just be a bit more pragmatic, Berge this time. Attacking wise, we always seem to want that extra touch in the final third that you just don't get at this level. Both Foster and Fofana need a rocket up their arse frankly. At least we're giving established PL teams a game now but the error is an absolute sickener and has probable done for us.

Muric 3 - would have subbed him after their goal, his head seemed to have fallen off and for the second game running any confidence or hope for both players and fans drained away. Not sure he has the mentality for PL football

Assigion 5
Ekdal 6 - had a good battle with Wellbeck which he won, probably similar with Beyer, doesn’t have the physique to play more than 10 games a season in the PL
Steve 7 - put in a good shift
Vitinho 4

Cullen 4
Berge 4 - the lack of half decent CHs means he ends playing there when required to drive us forward

Foster 3 - prefer him down the middle

Odobert 4 - end product is always inadequate , never gets hooked
Fofana 3 - can’t score open goals
JBL 4 - gets into good positions however rarely has the quality to convert, thought he had actually gone off when hooked

Taylor 4 - couldn’t keep the ball on the pitch apart from crossing into the keeper’s gloves
Jay Rod 4
Brownhill 6 - provided some energy and desire

Management 3 - Team selection, tactics, subs poor. lack of fitness and confidence all evident again.

Still fed up and fallen out with Mrs NL

The amount of people saying Odobert had no end product and was not involved are clearly not watching the game. He put a wonderful ball in with his left foot that JBL should definitely have scored, and then put a wicked ball across for that donkey fofana to miss from 3 yards out.

A decent performance in awkward conditions, but not enough and this ability to self destruct is mind boggling.

Muric - 4 - turns out he's not the messiah after all. A catastrophic error for the second week in a row. One excellent save late on but the damage was done, and he looked a little uncomfortable with the conditions throughout.

Assignon - 7 never looks entirely secure defensively but overall a solid afternoon with plenty of attacking endeavour.

Vitinho - 6 - less comfortable on the left in possession but showed well defensively and we missed his energy when he went off.

Ekdal - 7 - caught a couple of times early on but grew into the game effectively.

Esteve - 8 - learning impressively and this was a commanding afternoon's work.

Berge - 7 - less effective at centre half but very good in midfield

Cullen- 6 - very busy in the first half but the booking neutralised him a bit and he was a big passive in the second half until Brownhill came on.

Odobert- 7 - I'm not sure he's as effective on the right as the left or centrally, but in the first half he provided 3 or 4 top class deliveries, 2 of which presented sitters, and might have had a penalty on another day.

JBL - 5 - should have scored, but barring a couple of neat touches was otherwise on the periphery of the game and I found it really strange he played throughout on the left and didn't switch with Odobert or Foster given he's had success off the right.

Foster - 6 - lively if a bit untidy in the first half when his energy and runs from into out were a big factor in getting us up the park. Not sure why we moved him to a right wing berth that doesn't really suit him after half time and thereafter he was game but ineffective..

Fofana - 5 - started ok with a couple of neat turns but his afternoon got increasingly untidy and it was no surprise he was hooked.

Taylor - 5 - unconvincing.

Rodriguez- 5 - not really a factor unfortunately.

Brownhill- 7 - added tempo and intensity to our midfield play that we'd lacked to that point in the second half and his goal reflected that.

On another day we might have gone in at half time 2 or 3 up, partly as a result of some very decent play on our part, but also owing to the fact Brighton struggled to get out of second gear. The second half was more even and was probably drifting in Brighton's favour, before we got the break to get ahead. Having done so, we just needed to manage the game, but another pratfall of the highest order put paid to that. A failure to match distribution from deep to the conditions had been a frustration throughout (you can't be chipping such precise passes in such gusty, blusterous conditions) and whilst the equaliser was a freak it may well be that a keeper less focused on looking for the constructive pass and more intent on clearing his lines in the worsening conditions would have avoided the error. But perhaps it was fitting that the final nail in our coffin was so self inflicted. Nearly good enough but just not quite there to focused on the method rather than the outcome.

Muric 3 - no words
Assignon 6
Ekdal 8
Esteve 8
Vitinho 6
Berge 6
Cullen 7
Odobert 6
Fofana 4 - seriously shocking
Foster 3 - seriously, seriously shocking
Larsen 5

Taylor 5
Brownhill 6
Rodriguez 5

This was actually a good performance in which our man-for-man system worked really well in making Brighton look very average indeed. The two centre halves were brilliant and the two midfielders kept us moving when we recovered the ball.

Unfortunately though, all of this was undermined by
(a) some absolutely woeful forwards and
(b) an error from the goalkeeper that was so bad he should probably be investigated to see if he'd placed a bet for a 1-1 draw.

And he might have had a penalty. He had a good first half. The second was more indifferent and I didn't understand the reluctance to give him a go on the left, where he is clearly most comfortable.

Muric - 4 - pointless doing anything else if you're going to throw them in like that. I know he likes to trap the ball with studs, but after last week's howler, when we're actually winning and the rain is coming in sideways, I cannot fathom what he was playing at trying to control a passback like that
Assignon - 6 - not great but tries and some engine on the lad
Ekdal - 8 - positionally excellent, seems very fragile though
Esteve - 7 - will be the best CB in the Championship if he's here next season.
Vitinho - 5 - we finally found him a position where he can affect the game so of course he hasn't played there since
Berge - 6 - need more from him.
Cullen 6 - ok but needs two in there with him.
Bruun Larsen - 4 - been ok this season but this was a nothing performance
Odobert - 6 - great first half
Foster - 3 - a performance devoid of quality or effort. Baffling he lasted the 90.
Fofana - 3 - shouldn't play again.

Taylor - 4 - when the ball broke to him behind their defence, left side of the box, it was the epitome of a Championship player playing in the Prem. Panicked, no composure and a complete waste.
Rodriguez - 5 - would start him until the season ends, at least we know he cares
Brownhill - 7 - looked up for it today, should have been the winner that his efforts bagged

Muric - 4 - no words

Assignon - 6 - lots of huff and puff
Ekdal - 9 - thought he was outstanding
Esteve - 8 - looks quality
Vitinho - 4

Cullen - 6
Berge - 6
Odabert - 4 - really poor

Foster - 3 - worse than poor
Fofana - 3 - worse than poor
JBL - 6 - got to score

Taylor - 5
JayRod - 6
Brownhill - 6

God only knows how Foster and Odabert played a full game. Fofana is like a dog with a balloon. Benson must l, like so many of us,be wondering what the hell is going on.

Real shame Ekdal was injured - I thought he was head and shoulders above anyone else on the pitch

Muric - 4
Assignon - 7 some decent attacking play and reasonably sound defensively.
Ekdal - 7 handled BHA front 2 quite and decent distribution
Esteve - 7 ditto above
Vitinho - 6 looked ok to me played out position again
Odebert - 7 our most dangerous forward player, on another day might have had two assists and a pen.
Berge - 7 one dumb mistake where he coughed up the ball but otherwise a good game
Cullen - 7 looking the part in midfield
Larson - 5 looked like quite a bad miss from my seat and didn’t really create much threat
Foster - 4 started decently enough but faded as the game progressed
Fofana - 4 got in one or two good positions to score, but couldn’t apply the finishing touch. Doesn’t seem to link well with any partner

Charlie - 4 the consensus in our group’s post match analysis was that he didn’t look too interested
Rodrigues- 5 had a tame shot on goal but overall not much threat
Brownhill - 6 lively and scored from a position where he popped in quite a few in the Championship

Tresor n/a touched the ball once I think but did pass it to a Burnley player.

This. He also won a penalty (the bad decision not to give it isn't his fault)

This. It's only "no end product" because the fellas in the middle couldn't finish their dinner. On another day the lad gets two assists and wins a penalty.

Muric 4 (not just because of the comedic error, but because I thought his kicking and distribution radar was dysfunctional today and that's his real strength!)
Assignon 8 (All rather helter skelter, but absolutely 100% commitment and I thought he was good today)
Ekdal 8 (Great defending)
Esteve 8 (More great defending)
Vitihno 6
Cullen 8 (At the heart of everything)
Berge 7 (Brilliant in possession, but rather easily beaten when not in possession!)
Oderbert 5 (Weary)
JBL 5 (Two great opportunities and failed unfortunately)
Fofana 4 (Ratshit unfortunately today)
Foster 4 (Looks unfit and way off it, but why on earth is he being asked to play out wide when genuine wingers are sitting on the bench. Ridiculous!)

Taylor 5
Brownhill 8 (Got stuck in. Got us going and made a huge difference, never mind his goal!)

Missed chances, especially first half, lack of quality when and where it mattered most and an absolutely disastrous cock up. Another game we really should have won by two or three and the own goal wouldn't have mattered, but we just can't turn really good approach play and periods of dominance into goals and that means whoever the opposition are, you're always in with a chance against this Burnley team. At least it doesn't really matter any more this season, but we have to be a lot better next season when it definitely does matter.

It’s ******* pointless marking when people are giving 4s to a 19 year old who played in three fantastic crosses as part of some sort of myopic “no end product” narrative.
