Just for a bit of fun:
Palmer 37 goal contributions in 35 games
Saka 30 goal contributions in 37 games
Foden 30 goal contributions in 36 games
Bellingham 29 goal contributions in 31 games
Kane 49 goal contributions in 38 games
That is some unbelievable attacking talent at our disposal for this summer
Unfortunately we will be like Kevin Keegans Newcastle.

This Everton side are better than most of Dyche’s Burnley sides. Particularly in central midfield and upfront with Calvert Lewin. This thread is abusing them but they will stay up easily. They just aren’t pretty.
Dyche has done well with the resources at his disposal. This league is brutal.
Stay up easily? They are two points clear of the relegation zone and have won two in, what, 15 games, both against us. And as bad as we’ve been, we gave Chelsea more of a game. With ten men. It doesn’t seem like all is well with the players either. It’s easy to dismiss the Patterson incident but those type of things can affect squad harmony.

He usually saves that for the City games.

If he's done well what position in the league might be considered satisfactory for them? And if 'he's done well' then it would put him in the hearts of the Everton faithful for season 24/25 wouldn't it?

Whatever Safegate does, he just cannot shoehorn them all in and play square pegs in round holes.
For me Grealish on the left is the perfect foil and will compliment the others spectacularly.
The big question is how you get Bellingham and Foden in the side together.

Everton are rubbish. We would have, should have, could have won it bar one massively unfortunate clanger.
We deserve to go down for no other reason than these have taken 6 points off us, and we have given them their only 2 wins in 14 games. Fortune favours the brave, and with a bit of bravery we could have taken these to the cleaners. Watching them tonight just makes it even more frustrating.

For some reason did not expect that.
Could’ve been a far bigger defeat as well.

I said to someone not long before kick off that I thought Everton would get something tonight and by that I didn't mean a hiding.

It was a fair expectation, I think. With Chelsea lacklustre I fancied them for a point too.
Not really sure what they were playing at. They were completely open and playing high line against a team with the fastest forwards. Odd one from Dyche, I thought, who doesn’t often get it that wrong (as evidenced by your stat)

In all seriousness do England have the two most in form players in the premier league this season?
Palmer and Foden are looking out of this world at the moment
These two on current form should be starting with Saka behind Kane, frightening front four that should be a joy to watch but Southgate will go defensive and have no fluidity to the play he's ruining our best ever chances.
Staggering to think we've those four then Grealish, Sterling, Rashford, Maddison, Gordon, Barnes, Madueke plus more all available to come in

They'd be sat happy in 14th on 35 points if they hadn't cheated in previous seasons. I'm sure the Everton fans hate him but they've not really been in danger of relegation since Dyche was appointed and he's presided over the . That said, their form since the New Year has been dreadful. Also, I think the incident with Patterson will see him gone in the summer. He's managed 55 games for Everton now and actually has the worst win ratio of any Everton manager with 50+ games under their belt. That says it all.

That massive new shiny multi million pound stadium and they are going to fill it with this absolute shambles
of a team from top to bottom Owner Chairman Manger Managers sidekicks Players and massive debt
Can only see Administration for Everton used to be a great club now just an total basket case.
Howard Kendall will be spinning in his grave.

The biggest problem Everton have, is they only really have two or three players that you could argue are top half of the table quality. Yet there fan base honestly thinks they should be challenging the top 6.
I honestly believe the only two players that get in Villa, Newcastle, West Ham’s team are Branthwaite and Calvert Lewin (when fit).
Take the deductions away and they are pretty much where they are supposed to be

Calvert Lewin is a sicknote and nowhere near a top six player.

Talking to a few Everton fans, the football is rapidly getting worse there, and a little like Dyche at Burnley where the football side of things tailed off badly, it seems to be happening at a much faster rate at Goodison. Almost like when, in adversity, Dyche resorts to a few basics to keep things afloat. I don't think Everton fans are going to have him over the long term, so it's really a case of whether he lasts into next season now.

They are 10 points clear of the relegation zone in on the pitch performances. They now have an easy finish, unlike us. They will finish on the equivalent of 45 points I reckon, 37 with the points deduction.
So I think he has done OK, yes, as I said yesterday. But no, I wouldn’t take him back.

I can't help feeling we really have missed a trick this season so, so badly. With points deductions for 2 potential rivals and Everton in disarray and being so crap, yet still beat us twice and a small time newbie like Luton being in the division, it really shouldn't have been too difficult to finish 17th or above and avoid the drop. Far easier really than it should normally have been and the fact we have just 20 points with a small handful of games remaining and STILL have a mathematical chance says it all really. The whole season has been one huge own goal which puts Saturday's comedic effort well and truly in the shade!

Saturdays comedic effort was simply just another act in the long running saga which began last summer.Hoping it doesn't run beyond May this year.

Be interesting to see how SD sets up Everton on Saturday. Forest are no mugs and can attack quickly, with genuine pace with several players. Does he set up not to lose or set up like he did v Chelsea which gave him one of his biggest defeats in his career. Then they play Liverpool, who might tear them apart or not turn up

Look at how Pep uses him in the big games - like he did in the first leg against Real Madrid.
He does a lot of good work under the radar - winning fouls, driving the team up the pitch from deep.
You can't shoehorn 5/6 attackers in that are all the main men for their respective teams, it just doesn't work... Need someone to be the foil.

Has the penalty escaped scrutiny because of the score?
Palmer didn’t get touched in the first challenge and Tarks block tackle was perfection in the second. Have I missed something?

I don't get why everyone was saying the Tarks block was fine. I thought it was close to a straight red at the time, it was a Thatcher esque forearm smash. Everybody seemed to be watching his feet and not seeing what he did with his arms.
I've not heard anyone with a similar view so I might just be going nuts

I was referring to the Tarkowski challenge when he gave the pen. They said on comms that it had been given for the challenge on the right of the box.

Ah yes the penalty was for the separate incident but the consensus seemed to be that the Tarkowski block was fine but everytime I've seen it I think it's a straight red. It's a dreadful and dangerous elbow/forearm

Not surprising given it is now just 1 win in 14 matches and that victory came against us.
