Good ref, stayed out of the picture and led the game well I thought.

It's only taken 34 games but finally we have a premier league standard referee!

Re: RATE THE REF - Andy Madley v Sheffield United
There was some right shite being spouted on here yesterday about having him.
He's one of the best in the Prem, didn't seem to get a thing wrong today (except once getting in the way). You barely noticed him - the way it should be.

Only two mistakes for me.
Not giving the FK for the foul on Charlie on the edge of their box. Clearly fouled.
Gave Osborn a yellow for hauling back Assignon but could have given him another for his reaction.

From the TV- we have had a lot worse but he seemed to miss a couple of clear fouls, clear yellows. The one on Taylor on the edge of their box for starters.

Solid performance, only a couple of minor things, the Taylor dive or non dive being one.

It might not have been the most difficult of games to referee but he made it easy.

The commentary I was watching said he was booked for his reaction, not for the challenge.Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2024 7:59 pmOnly two mistakes for me.

Decent today.
Hardly noticed him.
Let things go, led to a good flowing game.
Well done ref.

No idea what you're on about, was just telling Trevor as in his post he suggested he thought it was the other way round. Bit of a snipey post for no reason that.winsomeyen wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2024 10:10 pmWhy do you need someone to tell you what you can see with your own eyes ?

Re: RATE THE REF - Andy Madley v Sheffield United
If that is true it’s an even worse decision. Pulling back a player breaking forward is an automatic yellow in modern football.

Let the game flow, and didn't really miss anything of note. The foul on Taylor that he missed before one of their breaks was a strange one.
The game in general was played in a pretty good spirit tbh.
Also did anyone see JBG get wiped out near the end when going up for a header? I was convinced the foul was in the box, but they didn't show a replay. Was 4-1 by then so they probably weren't bothered.
