But what about 4th officials ? Linesman , VAR adjudicator, assistant VAR refs, etc etc . What about EVERY single player and the clubs they support as well . This isn’t far from Chem trails and Covid conspiracy theorists, utterly embarrassing nutjobbery.

Forest did have a point in their statement about refs reffing teams who are contextual rivals with those they support. For example, if I was to be a biased ref, I’d be more likely to show that bias for or against a team that directly impacted the success of Burnley than Blackburn Rovers.

Anthony Taylor is definitely an Alty fan, despite what Liverpool fans like to protest. He's had a season ticket there for years.

I think Madley must support either Man City or Arsenal by the way he’s giving every 50/50 to Everton.

He refereed a friendly between Altrincham and Burnley dev squad in 2016. When he was coming off a half time I suggested he might be too biased to referee this particular game. He laughed and agreed with me. It was a boring 0-0.

Fun fact, Taylor and John Squire from the Stones Roses went to the same school in Timperley that my lad later attended.
