Really?

I've worked out that you can't possibly be any older than about twelve. :/

Think about that statement folks... Losing to the PL champions is the lowest point of one fan's time watching Burnley.

I mean really think about that!

People simply cannot keep beating others with the 80's / Orient game.

Yesterday was rubbish. Leicester weren't anything special, but we let them play their game. Playing a 9-1 tactic was stupid yesterday. The last two times we played 1 up top we got roasted. You would thinks lessons would have been learned from from the two previous occasions.

As soon as Sam came one he game is that aerial threat we do desperately desired. Where has our pressing and willingness gone, every second ball was won by the King Prawns yesterday.

We should have given them a game at least.

We didn't have the same players as now though Engineer, hence being able to change it through our own doing and not because of injuries and lack of personnel.

The goal before half time knocked the stuffing out of us and it shouldn't have. We were in that game up to that point.

BoT I appreciate your point but the fact remains (or coincidence). West Brom sticks in my mind from our last foray surrounded by King Prawn plastics ( I was in the village pub).

I agree again that for 44 mins we were in the game, but after conceding we never look like coming from behind.

Even at 3-0 I was hoping for some miraculous come back to snatch a 4-3 victory.

Folk are free to air their opinions, and that I have no problem with. I thought we offered very little yesterday.

If Defour had scored with his header, it would have been a different game. Sitting back against Liverpool worked because we scored with our first two chances on the counter-attack, and Liverpool don't have any big target men. Horses for courses

"Even at 3-0 I was hoping for some miraculous come back to snatch a 4-3 victory."

Against the current Premier League champions?

They are champions for a reason. Even if they're not as good as last season, they're not going to relinquish a lead like that, are they?

We will have easier games this season, don't worry about that.

People might even want the manager to stay then! ;)

Its been a proven approach of other clubs seeking Premier League survival so you are clearly clueless. Some managers just aren't good enough at PL level, so they get replaced regardless of them gaining promotion the previous season. Adkins led Soton to back to back promotions from League One, he wasn't good enough at PL level so they replaced him and now look at them a few years later.

I think if the board think Dyche will go by his own accord by the end of the season, I think they may decide to be the ones to move first and look to replace him to try to avoid relegation. Their is no benefit to the club to stay loyal and get relegated with Dyche and then for Dyche himself to decide to walk away at the end of the season.

Dunno, if we don't stay up, then we'd really have to change manager.

He'd want a new challenge, and we'd be pretty flat that we haven't managed to stay up again. Might be best for both if we moved our separate ways.

The tactics were right on Saturday, playing a 4-5-1. We retained a very good side for the 1st 40 min.

Dyche was to slow in changing his formation and should have had a different game plan once they had scored, but changed nothing tactically until we went 3 down.

We could have played any formation you can imagine, but the truth is we are not good enough and Leicester are a top 6 side.

I personally think if Dyche keeps us up or we go down, we need a new manager for next season.

I would look for a foreign manager who has a track record on the continent and can introduce some pace and flair into this squad of hard working average footballers.

Dyche has done a good job in winning 2 promotions, but I honestly believe he has taken the club as far has he can. We now need to set our sights higher, if the club hope to progress.

He is proving to have his limitations in the transfer market and that is now showing, he has had 3 years to bring flair and pace to this squad and he has failed.

Yeah Id like a foreign hands on coach, Pochettino please ;) the added knowledge and recruitment would be a huge bonus. The thing is we are really bad at this level and look completely out of our depth, I wouldn't wait until we have been relegated before changing, Id like us to be quick decisive and if its not going well mid December, seriously contemplate bringing in a new gaffer before January. Southampton did it with Adkins, Newcastle did it with Hughton, its proven to have worked previously. Everybody expects Dyche to leave either way at the end of the season so why wait until then if its not going well.

Leicester took a risk by sacking an average English manager even after he took them up and kept them up. They replaced him with a failing foreigner, he brought in some foreign unknown players, the rest is history....

I am a big fan of Dyche but not sure he had enough options for the clearly necessary wide players with pace that we so desperately needed. Who else were we linked with in the wide areas aside from the Polish fella at the eleventh hour?
Not sure how the board can be blamed for our lack of targets.

I like SD think he's a pretty genuine bloke, however is this a step to far for him. Does being a defender in his playing days hamper him a tad. In that it's tactics he knows well and is comfortable with, perhaps it's time he changed his coaching staff...are they not also culpable to a degree ?

I think that could play a part in his thinking of how he wants his team to play. I think the fact he's English doesn't help, there is clearly a problem with English coaching, hence the lack of good English managers around and the failing national team. Fat Sam managing England shows just how crap English managers are, prehistoric tactics and sunday league style of play.
The quality of football on display in Spain is superior with less resources and TV money that in the PL. If you take out the top 3 in Spain and look at the rest of the league, the overall quality in terms of ball retention and general quality on the ball is fantastic with a majority of Spanish homegrown players and a lack of serious investment in players like here in the PL. The coaches have to be given massive credit

I haven't read all the posts, but even last season in the many games that I watched Burnley were usually the worse side despite getting a result.

With regard to managers that can turn a team around, Neil Warnock worked wonders last season, and should relegation ensue does anyone have a better promotion record? Wouldn't want Dyche to leave however.

I suppose you could say that we played a percentage game last season, got enough results but struggled against the top 3.
We are still playing much the same game, but the two teams we couldn't beat last season are (with us) amongst the worse in the division,
Do we really believe that last season's tactics will harvest enough points this season?

Krbc clearly has served his time, like quite a few others, analysing his management strategies from the stands of Turf Moor over a period of years.

It seems such a shame teams in the premiere league or even lower down, don't give fans such as him his first chance in management.

It's a shame that the usual culprits would prefer to talk about KRBC than actually address the topic at hand. It's almost like they are afraid of deviating from the party line until they have checked with their mates, sheep. It seems for many on here having cheap digs at KRBC is actually easier and more populist than having an opinion on what ever thread subject is. In my opinion it's just pure laziness of thought and ideas and they must do better.

Now going back to the subject in hand, Di Canio would be absolutely crazy appointment, i would prefer to give Micheal Laudrup another chance in the premier league.
