Anyone know who some of the players were in that picture from the German competition - great picture btw, never seen that before or even knew we played in such a tournament.

I recognize, Willie Morgan, Dave Merrington, Colin Blant and Ralph Coates - plus maybe Mick Buxton?

I get: ?, Ralph Coates,Stan Ternent, possibly Brian O'Niel, Colin Blant,possibly Chris Nicholl,?,Dave Merrington,Willie Morgan,?(and I'm annoyed over the last one). Surprised it's '66 as most of them were first teamers then. I'm with you, never seen it before. Great shot.

Every time I have seen the photo of Ings kissing the boy on the forehead, I`m incredibly moved. Think it sums up the man himself and maybe the family feel which courses through the veins of our club. A beautiful moment!

The fog game was certainly an experience. My mate reversing up the motorway because we`d missed the exit was an experience never to be repeated. The next game (after Pearce`s clanger I think?) was wonderful and set the tone for our rise from the ashes.

On further inspection, there was a similar shot on the same website of a team group with Coates and Morgan holding a pennant with "Burnley FC England 1965" about to play Red Star Belgrade so it is possible that both shots are from '65 at a similar tournament to the one we won the following year.

Another top shot and it does look like the same side. New faces are Ray Ternent, Sammy Todd and Les Latcham. It looks as though my earlier stab at Chris Nicholl is wrong. Thanks for that one.
