Which potential transfers just make sense?

Post by ŽižkovClaret » Mon May 06, 2019 1:45 pm

I think Zaha to Wolves would be a great move for club and player. He gets to be a big fish at a bigger club, without drowning like what happened at Man United

If you'd seen his recent interviews you'd probably think he was treated harshly by a manager who drowning at Utd and who's continued to struggle ever since he left there.

Zaha picked himself up and showed everyone that he's still a class player and would probably succeed at Utd with the right manager.

As for Wolves, I'm not sure it would be a good fit for him, Spurs would probably be better suited for him.

Crystal Palace are a perfect fit for Zaha and the team is set up for him.
If he moves to a bigger club who are set up for someone else to benefit, he won't be as influential like at United.

Gibson to Boro. Wasted a year at Burnley and as he wont displace Mee and little chance a better team will want Mee a move away seems the only sensible thing for the lad

Ronaldo for a year, think of the shirt sales and arse licking from the press

He was frozen out at Utd because of his off the duty activities with a certain family member of the manager at the time

I can also see him going to Spurs

Be fun watching them drown in the play offs, hopefully.

He's flatly denied banging Moyes' daughter in one of his interviews, it's never been mentioned by anyone of any substance, it was just a rumour.
I believed it at one point, but now I don't.

Turning up to United with a T-Shirt with Imogen Thomas on the front probably didn’t win him many friends at United.

Went on Rep of Ireland v Czech U17s tonight. Only one standout, Festy Ebosale. Currently at Derby County. He also played well in their first group game against Greece. Plays anywhere across the front, carries it well and tackles like a man not an age group player. Ended up getting sent off for two yellows but I’ll not hold that against him.
Always difficult with young players but if he has his head on straight I give him every chance.

Actually he has a point. But here's a thought: we could sell Gibson at a profit, perhaps this isn't the worse business plan we ever had?

We would still need a LCH replacement. Unless he starts kicking up I’d keep Gibson as long as possible.
