Re: Lady Gaga
I mean in terms of success Adele, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry all come to mind who are arguably more successful that's all.

I've always liked Lady Gaga, a cracking voice, great presence, my wife plays her on YouTube now and again and although I've never owned one of her records, I've never heard a song by her that makes me want to switch off.
Another lass that got mentioned on here a while back and who has a slight resemblance to Gareth Southgate is Héloïse Adelaide Letissier, better known as Chris from Christine And The Queen's. She's got everything imo, brilliant voice, range, fire, presence. She produces and writes and is critically acclaimed for it all. Here she is, Michael Jacksonesque, doing 'Girlfriend' on Jools Holland last year. Proper good stuff.

Re: Lady Gaga
Are you all mental or something - all of this is manufactured pop crap. I'm not into music myself but even I can see through this marketing scam for what it is. Music execs must wet themselves laughing at the gormless mugs who lap this up. I thought it was mindless teenage girls who got suckered in but it appears I'm wrong.

I saw Brenda Lee live in Bradford in 1964, on the same bill as Bo Diddley and Little Richard, the best female singing voice (after Vera Lynn) that I've ever heard. As far as I know, they are both still alive.

Crikey is little Richard still alive ? I know Bo Diddly is long dead . I always mix Chuck Berry up with LR though I know chuck used to video his customers taking a dump at his diner in later years which took the shine off a littleVino blanco wrote:I saw Brenda Lee live in Bradford in 1964, on the same bill as Bo Diddley and Little Richard, the best female singing voice (after Vera Lynn) that I've ever heard. I made the mistake of reading some of the comments on that video.

Re: Lady Gaga
Mr Pennimore, aka Little Richard, I believe, is still alive, whilst Charles Anderson Berry died not too long ago. Chuck Berry did have some strange habits and did film them, which I won't go on to on here; both of them, however, were founders of the Rock and roll movement back in the 50s and influenced that many other performers in 60s. 70s, 80s etc., it's unbelievable.
