Seriously tho Tim, Standish Street Practice in Burnley, Pickup and Schofield in Clitheroe, both highly recommended.
Be very careful, there's a lot of, dare I say, cowboys out there doing implants with little experience.

Been looking at having implants myself and also getting some crowns at the front where my teeth look a mess - not cheap though.

Get to Goa and have them done there at a fraction of the price. Loads of people do and a holiday at the same time.

Budapest ? Or find out who did Shane McGowan's for that TV documentary, a few years back ....

Rumours of Tim Noone's penury are somewhat exaggerated, I have it on good authority that he can barely sit down, due to the wedge of wonga that he usually stuffs in the back pocket of his Farah's !!

Just started the treatment for a tooth implant at the Bupa dentist across from the bus station.

Had a problem with the bone where the implant sits the bone was not thick enough to hold the implant, now that's sorted hopefully in a few months time they can carry on with the procedure.

claretfern that's a cheap quote, it's costing me over £2000.

Not overly convenient when things go wrong, that's the problem with having work done abroad.
Prices from £1500-2000 are generally the norm in the UK.

Getting interesting this, what do they actually do,is each tooth done like a crown or is it like a permanent denture screwed into the gum?

I had my teeth knocked out playing hockey...........had implants and a bone graft done at schofields in Clitheroe. Not the most comfortable of times but the end result has been absolutely fantastic.

They are a replacement for a missing tooth, or teeth, very simplistically described as a false tooth screwed into your jaw bone, two parts, the screw bit under the gum and the tooth looking bit above.

Hockey is a very tough game! I remember playing the girls at school at hockey and football. The lads won the footie, easily enough but we got whacked, in more ways than one, at hockey!

In a kilt he would be playing shinty and that's a whole new level of violence - more head transplant, than teeth!

In-laws had their implants done in Budapest, as the retired dentist Pimlico says you have to factor in return trips to sort issues or have proper check ups. Saying that they were/are very happy with them, had 5+ years and were a fraction of the price in the UK with the equipment and dentist apparently of a high standard. 2/3 weeks of teeth surgery doesn’t sound like my kind of a holiday....

Trust me......having picked some of my teeth up off the floor, fractured my jaw and had other teeth smashed......

It ain’t just a girls game in skirts.....

But now a few years later my body may have degenerated somewhat but my teeth look great!
