Man city possible European ban
Uefa investigators want Manchester City to be banned from the Champions League for a season if they are found guilty of breaking financial rules.
It looks a bit odd that with all their wealth, they would be foolish enough to fall foul of an investigation by the authorities.
seems to stem from allegations about sponsorship deals, anyone know more about this ?

They're also facing a transfer ban if found guilty of breaking the rules on youth player transfers

It is all in the hands of the Chief Investigator, Yves Letterme. The best advice might be for him to have a chat with Sepp Blatter who has experience in dealing with these matters.
Why re invent the wheel when there is a ready made solution?

as @tariqpanja says - Case isn't about the nuances of FFP but over allegations that club had provided false information on its sponsorship agreements to UEFA and acted in bad faith. Case is in response to Football Leaks revelations

They had one of those last time for FFP transgressions - some of the punishment was held back subject to conditions being met, which they did officially - though the current investigation is about knowingly providing false info - so this could come back and bite them tooAlargeClaret wrote:A big fine and lessons will be learnt etc

What do we expect anyway, when they are run and financed by foreigners who can't even lie straight in bed ?
