4th ODI Trent Bridge

Post by tiger76 » Fri May 17, 2019 2:39 pm

England won toss and are bowling,Pakistan 121-1 after 22 overs,Fakhar just gone for 57,Imam had to retire hurt after being struck by a Mark Wood short ball, hope he's OK for the WC,400 minimum will be needed to test this explosive England batting line-up.

No Morgan and Bairstow isn't in the 11 today either.

Morgan's suspended isn't he because of the slow over rate?

340-7 Pakistan's final tally, don't think that'll be anywhere near enough, especially at Trent Bridge, :? why Imam came out to bat at number 9,and Buttler missed a stumping chance again,England where surprisingly poor in the field, these small errors could prove costly in a close-fought match, need to tighten up on their discipline before the main event.

This looked like a cakewalk at 201/1 but then the slump to 215/5

Tom Curran run out. Very close but he’d have been out had Pakistan appealed.

England 283/6. Need 58 from 38 balls.

Pakistan give the opposition about 30 runs an innings with their fielding.

Took some good catches tonight but then, when it looked a bit tight, they let one through for four and then there was the three.

Back from the game which had fluctuated with Pakistan looking to score near to 400 at one stage .
Then pegged back to disappointing final total and then England cruising to big win before losing 4 wickets for 10 runs.
Great innings from Ben Stokes to win game.
Great day out at the Fabulous Trent. Bridge.
Finally hope England see sense and give Jason Roy an opportunity to open the innings vAustralia in the 5 Day Test side.

It's been a great series for England just before the world cup. Pakistan tested us just enough but we come good and will go into the tournament full of confidence.
All of the players have had a chance and it will be hard to pick the final 11.
