Zizkov. Since I retired I have suffered awful back pain, agree it's an age thing, mind you the wife has been telling me for
sometime that I'm a pain in the back (side). :D

That put me back out for the rest of the night!

Allows you to recognise a decent player from a hyped up one.Yesterdays game was a good example.
Tammy Abraham and Jack Grealish.
Reasonable Championship players but not the world beaters that the pro Villa commentary tried to portray them as.

When your mind accepts your present age is a barrier.

This happens to some people in their 40's and others in their 80's.

When you're daft enough to let it get to you.
Getting older is compulsory, but growing up still remains optional; for myself and more especially the wife, we're still waiting for the age when I'm old enough to know better.

Great post, especially the ''some people in their 40s'' bit. It's so true. Listening to some people that age speaking, you'd think they were on the point of death. When I entered my forties, I felt like I was still in my twenties. Genes help here. When my mother was in her early 70s, she moved like a young woman.

I keep fit, work out 3 times a week (weights - heavy), not overweight, walk a great deal, never use a lift (even when I used to work on the sixth floor) and had kids late so they kept me young and the grand kids now do the same. And I'm mentally childish (unashamedly so).

Of course all this is very well but I wish I could get through the night without at least two bathroom visits.

Get old gracefully.....sod that for a game of soldiers!

I am 68 going on 38 and my Beautiful
and she is Beautiful fiancee is 21 going on 31

So only 7 years Age difference :D

I may not see the year out :D

But on my tombstone it will say ......

It was the way he would have wanted to go

Not leaving home without paracetamols in your pocket.
Tying shoe laces becomes mission impossible.
Short term memory loss.
Going into a room and wondering why.
Forgetting names hence calling people "there" ...."Hello there, how are you?"
Being introduced to "touchscreen" and realising you have dyslexic fingers.
Short term memory loss.
Ensuring there are plenty of toilet stops when planning a trip.
Cups of tea are a pleasure to look forward to, realising you are beginning to sound just like your Parents.
Short term memory loss.
