Re: Vote for our best away performance of the 2018/19 season
The win at Brighton for me,purely due to the importance of the game, that result played a huge part in ensuring PL survival for another season.
It was a tea-time game as well and we where in the bottom 3 at KO time, but we handled the pressure expertly.
Would have picked OT if we had held on for the final minutes,87 minutes of near perfection followed by 5 minutes of madness alas.

The point gained at Chelsea playing Anti Football was pretty special against 9 good footballers and the worlds most expensive goalkeeper at 70 odd Million pounds plus....

I found it hard to decide between Bournemouth and Chelsea. I went for Chelsea just for the quality we were up against.

Chelsea we needed a point to be virtually safe as well. remember we wouldn't get a point out of the last 4 games, well, maybe A point. A point was all we needed though

I voted for Bournemouth because we quite simply outplayed them on the day

Tiger got it right for me...
OT apart from the last 7 or 8 minutes...
But Brighton away was just what the doctor ordered.
The Amex away for me

Tough pick between Bournemouth and Chelsea but I picked Bournemouth because we absolutely battered them, I didn't want the match to end.

Bournemouth for me too, we could and maybe should have had 4 or 5 that day, and theres not too many times for a team like us that happens.
We destroyed them.

Brighton away for me. I felt that if we had lost that game we would have been in deep trouble. We played very well and seemed to handle the pressure with ease. Top class performance IMHO.

Chelsea for me due to the quality of the opposition and the quality of our defending and goals.

Do we have a biggest tantrum award? If we do then Luiz is a shoe in for it so my vote would go to Chelsea. If not, Brighton.

It would probably be won by someone from Chelsea every year.duncandisorderly wrote:Do we have a biggest tantrum award? If we do then Luiz is a shoe in for it so my vote would go to Chelsea. If not, Brighton.

FOund it difficult between Bournemouth (as CT says we were just much better than them), Chelsea (up against quality opposition, dug in at the end and were a threat going forwards early on) and Man United (would have easily been this game had it not been for the last 5 - 10 minutes probably).
In the end I went for Chelsea for the same reason as VC.

Bournemouth gets my vote. Outplayed them, and so easily could of cracked after Barnes own goal. Response was fantastic! Quite a few to pick from there though, strange that we seem to be a better away side these days compared to the last few seasons!
