The Hotel Inspector
Just glancing at the TV Guide and I see a new series of The Hotel Inspector starts tonight on Channel 5 (9PM) with Alex Polizzi attempting to put life back in to The Rosehill House Hotel. I am sure I stayed there a few seasons back.
Presumably it has been refurbished?
Apologies if a thread already exists.

Yes there is a thread kenton. how very dare you come on here and try to tip the wink to us clarets without spending a minimum of 10 minutes scrolling through the threads to check. intolerable behaviour and you will be in big trouble.

Re: The Hotel Inspector
I did watch it. It showed what a beautiful building it is and why it should not be converted to 'flats.' Maybe the fact that dad didn't use the term 'apartments,' suggests what might be coming if this fails. I thought Emma came out well and was prepared to listen, particularly since she was being asked to change things that had been important to her mother. I wish them well. The building scrubbed up well too. Alex Polizzi pushed her luck a bit - but I guess that's the trade off.

Re: The Hotel Inspector
Yep Emma came out well from the show. very personable. in fact most Burnley folk on the show came across as warm and friendly with a gsoh. so much better than watching all the miserable southern softees. Best reaction from Alex ever on one of her shows and she seemed to genuinely love the outcome in the end.

Apparently Alex spent most of her stay p***ed as a fart after a boozy lunch and a boozier tea out at Palazzo!

Re: The Hotel Inspector
Just watched it and thought it was excellent.
As a business we have put staff in the Rosehill House for years and I know they took a big hit when another local business moved staff to a big chain.
Our staff have loved the place, especially the food.
Hope it all works out for Emma and John, they deserve it.

Re: The Hotel Inspector
Emma's mum still works in the hotel despite her illness.
I thought they came across really well on the programme and hope they make a go of it as I believe they are doing.

Re: The Hotel Inspector
Burnley is always portrayed in a bad light. Sky cameras often like to pan the cameras above the Bob Lord stand giving a dismal view of a less than affluent Burnley. I have lived away from Burnley for many years but this and the less than complimentary comments from the commentators always irritates me.
Viewers of the Hotel Inspector saw something different. They saw a magnificent period establishment. They saw a very brave young woman and her dad clearing out the hotel of items of deep sentimental value. Alex said at the end that if all the hotel owners she had given advice to, the Hotel she most wanted to succeed is the Rosehill House. Emma conducted herself very well indeed coming across as a professional with vision and a can do attitude and I for one wish them every success in the future.

Re: The Hotel Inspector
Haven't seen the programme but it sounds like a business which deserves support. Is it just a hotel or do they do restaurant meals as well?

Re: The Hotel Inspector
Well, i posted it the day after it had been shown. I found it funny how there were two threads before it being on then no posts after, hence my questionchipbutty wrote:Yes, lots of people, Don`t understand your lol. LOL
