Lauryn Hill - Miseducation of Lauryn Hill (fave song: Dat thing)
Rumours fits the bill too.

Re: All time classic LP's
I never really listened to whole albums, just tracks off them There are very few records I can play the whole way through without skipping tracks. These are some of the few:
Free - Fire & Water
Dire Straits - Dire Straits
Richard Shindell - Vuelta
Kate Bush - The Kick Inside
However the most influential albums for me are the ones that lead to defining my personal tastes. They would be:
Matthews Southern Comfort - Later That Same Year
Well actually it was the song Woodstock which is now placed on that album but in the UK it was only a single. It was the major influence in my choices leading to Fairport Convention, Rick Nelson, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young and a host of other singer song writers, harmony singing, pedal steel guitar.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIHfuihoz70" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Barclay James Harvest - Once Again
This contained their statement song Mockingbird. This led to prog rock - Pink Floyd, Wally, Rare Bird and a bit more.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGvyG3SOMQg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I also have made a small foray into classical music which started with this tune from this album:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T99mOY4xFo0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It now encompasses Vaughan Williams, Samuel Barber, Thomas Tallis, Greig and a few more.

I thought it was attracting us oldies because of the phrase “LPs”...I automatically think vinyl records and my older collection.COBBLE wrote:We definitely need some younger recruits to this board!
If it was modern stuff I’d have a few other ones in there.

Re: All time classic LP's
I suppose the all time classic LP has got to be "South Pacific" ( soundtrack from the film) which was Christmas No. 1. Album in 1958, 59 and 60', and spent, I think, 135 weeks at the top of the LP charts. Now that takes some doing.

As others suggest tomorrow this could be totally different - but Argus would still be there.
