I take it this vote is purely for form's sake? There can't be any doubt about the winner, surely. Though a man not called Trippier has already got one vote.

This could be a tad embarrassing for everybody whose name isn’t Trippier....

This really is a one horse race!

There'll be a couple of voters going, "Bugger! These touch screens! Can I do that again?".

From the looks of it, somebody has already had to make that comment (or at least I hope they have  )

To be fair. Tyrone Mears was our player of the season in the first prem season.

To be fair Mears was the best right back we’d had for a long time. Then Tripps came along and the competition ended.

I included in the article at the start of the goalkeeper poll - players must have started a minimum of ten league games from the start of the 2009/10 season to the end of 2018/19.

This was always going to be the most one horse race of any of the positions. Should be some interesting competitions through the spine of the team.

To the 3 people who voted for mears, I am so glad the club doesn't employ you as scouts. Give your heads a wobble.

People got a bit carried away with Mears in the early part of the Premier League season when we were winning a few home games, but he was a liability time and time again, particularly away from home. He wouldn't come close to the top three in this vote for me.

Think we can all make an educated guess who will be chosen as left back as well!

He was doing very well untill Coyle walked out, after that he just faded away.

I don't suppose you have the player ratings from back then?

There was a big Mears for England campaign at one point.

He had some nightmares even early in the season when we were getting some hammerings away from home.

My favourite left back would be Ben Mee, he will not be on the list.
