Another fairly obvious result here I think!

Ward will win (IMO) purely based on the fact that he did it (and did it so well that the LB position stopped being the target of the boo boys!) over a period of time. Taylor may end up being a better player but he has only really had this season and he’s taken time to ‘bed in’ and show his talent.

Roll on the centre back votes...that’ll give us some interesting voting with only two spots and at least three very good options!

How will the votes work for the central positions?

It would be great if the end result was a team of the last 10 years.

I thought the best way was to list them and allow everyone two votes

Sounds good. Guessing Mee a shoe-in for one of them

Interesting to see people’s views on Keane vs. Tarkowski

Caldwell was great for us, and I presume Mike Duff will be on the list too regards CB.

I loved Danny Fox but it's got to be Wardy. Mr Consistency.

Ward, for me, is head and shoulders the best of them. Best since Keith Newton.

Voted for Ward who was just superb for two and a half years.

However, am hoping in a season or two that Taylor will overtake him. It's a hard task but Taylor might just have the talent to do so, if he keeps improving.

Quick question
Is the vote linked to IP address at all?

Its saying I've already voted but I haven't, so I'm wondering if there is another user from work that has already done it

Ward over a longer period but Taylors performances in the second half of the season were head and shoulders above anything Ward has done.

Oh, I don't know about that. Ward was perfect for about three years, though I agree Taylor is going to be a better player.

If this vote was 2 years hence Taylor would edge it if he keeps progressing, but it's not and Wardy has to be the pick purely for the consistency and longevity.

Do you seriously believe that? Taylor is improving considerably but still some way behind what Ward has given us.

Had to go for Ward, but do have a feeling that in another couple of years Taylor could be considered a no-brainer over Ward.

However the centre-halves issue could be a different story. Surely Keane and Tarkowski are hands down our best central defenders over the last 10 years... but I'm not sure I could bring myself to not vote for Mee.

I do agree, however it's not a vote for the player who has given us the most, it's for the best team

The fact that Ward couldn't even get on the bench to challenge Taylor (because Taylor was performing so well) tells you how good Taylor was, BTW i think Ward was top class, and i'm not trying to do him down, just saying if Taylor carries on his upward trajectory then he will be an England international before long.

Wasn’t on the bench when fit for a lot of games because 1) Taylor was playing well and 2) Ward was leaving at the end of the season.

Ward is in the top three left backs I’ve ever seen at Burnley alongside Elder & Newton. If Taylor proves to be as good as Ward then we’ve got another outstanding left back in the making.

I said when Taylor signed that one day he would play for England. I still stand by that comment. He hasn't featured enough to warrant the best left back of the last 10 years but in a season or 2 he will prove to be undoubtedly our best left back of a generation.

Has to b Ward.
He's put in some superb (and important) performances.
But given time, Charlie is going to be up there with him.

Here's a question: when we have finished voting for the team, will we be voting for the best manager of the last ten years? Coyle, Laws, Howe, Dyche?

Tough one!

Try the last 50 years and you may have competition, but I doubt it if we level the playing field.
Could any of our previous had to sell to balance the books and have only free transfers for their first full season in charge and get into the big time-if only for a season?
