England are bowling very well at the moment and making it hard work for the batsmen.
Re: England v West Indies
Great toss to win for England. Could be the difference today.

Archer is a bit expensive in these early overs but Woakes is bowling well!

Could that be the end of J.Roy's WC, would be a real shame as he's in the form of his life

Re: England v West Indies
Mark Wood will be very disappointed that he dropped that, I just hope that he doesn't let it affect his bowling and he drops short, which he has a tendency to do when his mind is not fully focussed.

Re: England v West Indies
144-4 Hetmeyer gone c&b Root,England needed that wicket,Roy still off the field,so questionable how high up the order he'll be able to bat.Ah! he won't field again so can't bat until number 7.
20 overs left you feel the Windies will need at least 300,although they have strike bowlers of their own that can change a game in a flash.

Who needs specialist bowlers when you've got Joe Root to turn his arm over.England well on top now, another 50 for young Pooran i see,he's going to be some player.

Bugger!

Re: England v West Indies
Had 60 on Windies to win at 5/2, i'd have been better off burning it on this showing.
Re: England v West Indies
Rubbish from Russell, unnecessary risk, put his side in the brown stuff. A team of brainless inconsistent X factors like Gayle, Holder and Russell, may aswell add another in Kieron Pollard.

The same Gayle that you once claimed to be the best cricketer in the world?KRBFC wrote:Rubbish from Russell, unnecessary risk, put his side in the brown stuff. A team of brainless inconsistent X factors like Gayle, Holder and Russell, may aswell add another in Kieron Pollard.

I'm surprised you take everything I say so seriously, I also said I watch nothing but limited overs cricket, mainly 20/20.TheFamilyCat wrote:The same Gayle that you once claimed to be the best cricketer in the world?

Re: England v West Indies
Andre Russell off injured now this WC is taking it's toil on all the squads, comfortable for Bairstow and Root, the bowling has been poor though.
85-0 in the 14th over, good chance for England to improve their run rate here as well.

Re: England v West Indies
Convincing win for England, but at what cost Morgan and Roy might sit out the next couple of games,Afghanistan and Sri Lanka aren't the most testing opponents, and it''s vital all your big names are fit for the semi-final and hopefully beyond.
Who knew Chris Woakes would be so comfortable at no 3,admittedly i don't expect him to bat there often, and it's great that Joe Root scored another ton,as for the WI apart from Pooran, they look a sorry outfit, and will struggle to gain a top 4 slot now.

Re: England v West Indies
A good toss to win at Southampton yesterday but England made the most of it.
They bowled very well, albeit a couple of lapses fielding and Rashid a bit below par. There's a lot of attention on Archer but Wood was terrific too (6.4 overs, 3 for 18) - not bad when you can have a 90 mph bowler on as first change. Woakes bowled well with the new ball and Plunker picked up Gayle. Even J Root got two C&B.
Despite injuries to an in-form opener and the skipper, batting was very unfussy and dominant. Hopefully the injuries will clear up with some rest before we play Australia 25th June.
Im looking forward to watching (TV) India v Pakistan at OT on Sunday, hope the Lancashire weather holds up for that.
