We have plenty of time left in the window. I think I've been more vocally sceptical about Rigg than anyone else. It helps to keep the new guy on his toes. Having listened to him awhile back on Training Ground Guru Podcast he seems to be settling in well at the club and he gave a good interview without any managerial buzzwords or show boating claptrap - which is a vast improvement from the interviews he gave when he arrived. So I am a little more optomistic about him.

I thought is was a very interesting and informative listen.
However, the proof of the pie and gravy is in the eating and I'm expecting a solid window after all of the planning in the last six/seven months. Notably in terms of quality additions to the development squads that will allow us to "catch up quicker" instead of waiting till all of the younger lads progress through the system - which could take years. Adding some good 20-23 year old players could allow us to pick up the shortfall and make up some ground in terms of players coming through or being sold.
Obviously, I would also like to see the arrival of a couple of first teamers to fill key spots at respectable prices. Sean gave a couple of interviews asking us to be patient in this window, because nothing was going to be done early. It seems to fit with our well worn strategy of waiting until the other clubs have spent the bulk of their transfer kitties before we dust off our cheque book.
I'm guessing that the thinking is to reduce the competition we might experience when we go in for players, but leaving things until the last minute carries an equal number of negatives. I don't have a problem letting other clubs do the leg work to fix a price for players so we can then step in or allowing them to flush out players open to a move. It can make things a lot easier and cheaper in some cases.
Early days yet, for the window and Rigg, but we certainly need to see signs of improvement in our recruitment when we consider how Garlick has backed that side of the club with increased investment.
I don't know anything about Boli Bolingoli or whether the rumour has any substance. It seems a bit out of left field (if you will pardon the pun). Maybe someone said if Hart leaves in July we might be looking for another goli and things got lost in translation.
